Does anyone buy the "please listen to all the options as our menu has recently changed" thing anymore? Have companies not figured out that we realize that they haven't changed anything - or does every single company change their options every week

I rarely even listen to options anymore...I just press "0" and wait for a "customer representative." :)

They probably had that conversation in a board room:

"We are getting far too many calls misdirected, people are not listening to the options, how can we fix this"

"They are getting complacent - we need to shake up the menu - what if we say we have changed the options"?

"Yes! that will work, they will be worried they are going to press the wrong number and will listen to the menu"!

When really if they just cut it down to like 3 choices people would be happy to direct their own calls

Got some bad news last night... My great uncle John passed away yesterday, funeral is probably this thursday :( I don't have my AP yet, my chances of getting emergency AP in time and not for an immediate family member... Pretty slim . My mom and her siblings will make it, doubt most of my cousins will go either, they rarely saw John.

I was worried this would happen without my AP, think what bugs me most is that if I had the means to go to Canada for a funeral I can't right now! Well... I could then i would have to start all over again.

Just wish I could be there, :crying: he was such a sweet man, would see him every other month when we went to visit my baba... He would always go check on her... When he could still drive, and his Ukrainian cooking.... Mmmmmmmmm

Baba's passing was hard on him.... The last time I saw him... :(

RIP John S.

((((((((((minnew)))))))))

I am so sorry for your loss. It is so much harder when you know you can't get there as well. For what it is worth, I know 'he' will understand and will feel your love no matter where you are.

Did I mention that I HATE colds? I still HATE Colds!!!! Grrrr - looking forward to being able to breathe again and being able to move my head without feeling like the ocean is crashing against the cliffs inside.

kittyfang.....where are youuuuuuuuuuuuu..... bwahahahahahhahahah :D

"...My hair's mostly wind,

My eyes filled with grit

My skin's white then brown

My lips chapped and split

I've lain on the prairie and heard grasses sigh

I've stared at the vast open bowl of the sky

I've seen all the castles and faces in clouds

My home is the prairie and for that I am proud…

If You're not from the Prairie, you can't know my soul

You don't know our blizzards; you've not fought our cold

You can't know my mind, nor ever my heart

Unless deep within you there's somehow a part…

A part of these things that I've said that I know,

The wind, sky and earth, the storms and the snow.

Best say that you have - and then we'll be one,

For we will have shared that same blazing sun." - David Bouchard
