Ugh, I'm so pissed off at my boss.

So Wednesday is "Take your kid to work day."

Okay, that's fine. I normally work Wednesday.

I come in today to see my shift gone. I said to her "Look, since you took that shift, give me one of yours in return."

She said "No, I need the money."

She took MY shift WITHOUT asking and now she wont give me one in return?

I don't think she should be expecting the full rent then, since I wont even be there the whole month. Ugh. I dont care if you need the money, do you want your rent to be paid in full?

Also the idiot bakery manager decided to smoke in the freezer while he was doing inventory.

Christ, go outside. It's disgusting and against the law.

I don't understand this at all. Your boss is a POS. Lock Smokestacks the bakery idiot in the freezer, that'll learn him.

Ehh, we have such loose rules at our work it's so sad.

I work at a Foodland grocery store and all of them are independantly owned.

The store owner is a jerk, but he seems to let things slip by.

I really don't think he knows about ALOT of the things that go on.

I'm not really so angry about the bakery manager smoking in the freezer (Even though it is disgusting), I'm just pretty angry at the fact that I had no choice in my shift being taken away. She needs money? She moved in with her boyfriend that makes 40 DOLLARS AN HOUR!

I think I'm only going to pay for 20 days of the rent instead of all 30 <_<

Okay, I am literally stunned. I have just opened an email from a friend of over 20 years, who totally misread all kinds of things from my last visit there, and is coming to all kinds of conclusions and judgements. :o It's just like being on VJ!! I am really quite angry at the moment, so I won't be replying to him anytime soon. Wow. Just..... wow.

Guess he forgot to use 'perspective check' before hitting send.

It's funny how people jump to all kinds of conclusions - which is why everyone needs that person they can turn to and say - 'do you think so and so meant so and so by such and such??'

When they just look at you sideways, you know you are off base

Yeah. It is totally unlike him, so I guess that's why it's such a shock. I need time to calm down before I write back. lol

That's part of Windows 7 isn't it? :bonk: I agree that sometimes post are made that are not quite what was meant and this engenders a souring of relations. Keep in mind that anything you post will last virtually forever so always think carefully before you post everywhere except here.

I know this shouldn't really be a vent.....but I hate changing my clocks!! I am from Saskatchewan....no one changes their clocks!! You think I would be used to it...I had to put up with it living in the US for college!!! It was 5:30p.m. today starting to get dark....earlier today it was almost noon and felt like 3 pm to me.....it screws me up sooo bad! When I travel 1 hour is bad enough...but 2, 3 or more uggh I am a complete mess! I feel like a zombie...but that is also because I am allergic to cats, and was up most of the night sneezing and sniffling due to being at someone's house yesterday evening who had them...uggghh!!!

:girlwerewolf2xn:

On a happy note....let's hope my NOA1's for AOS are in my mailbox tomorrow!! The mailman must think I am nuts!!

Sucks when u work that night! Was a long 13 hrs at the hospital, lol

Canadians Visiting the USA while undergoing the visa process, my free advice:

1) Always tell the TRUTH. never lie to the POE officer

2) Be confident in ur replies

3) keep ur response short and to the point, don't tell ur life story!!

4) look the POE officer in the eye when speaking to them. They are looking for people lieing and have been trained to find them!

5) Pack light! No job resumes with you

6) Bring ties to Canada (letter from employer when ur expected back at work, lease, etc etc)

7) Always be polite, being rude isn't going to get ya anywhere, and could make things worse!!

8) Have a plan in case u do get denied (be polite) It wont harm ur visa application if ur denied, that is if ur polite and didn't lie! Refer to #1
