Thanks J &K - that is very helpful information! Going to check into that and see about removing those automatic updates as well. Regardless, Vista is on the way out!

OMG.

I died a slow shame-faced death.

I had NO idea. NONE.

I thought the rule was Don't tell online people your real name!!!!

I IS a noob.

it's part of my charm???

:|

I make up names unless people provide them. Then my brain provides character voices when I read your posts.

Wyatt is Wyatt Erp, and I read his posts with a western drawl.

Sprailenes is Disco Seal, and her posts read like a female talking like the character from the Simpsons.

TheTreble is "Serious face dog lover" and her posts read like my aunt's voice.

hmmm.. .

LGG is Southern Kermit, I read her posts like kermit would with a slight southern draw...

Kathryn41 sounds just like her avatars voice.

Some people just has like a background noise in my head... like Ashen - I hear the ocean when I read her posts.

I do it to everyone... Is that weird?

Montreal Interviewer: "What do you have in common with each other?"

Peachey: "We're REALLY weird."

Montreal Interviewer (incredulously to me): "Do you agree with that?"

<I think back to several days before the interview. Driving through the country, passing a field with cows...>

Peachey: "MOOOO! MOOOOO! Does this make me weird?"

Me: "No, well yes. Here, let me roll down the windows so they can hear you better!"

Peachey: "MOOOOO!!!!"

<back to interview>

Me: "Yes, yes I do."

Not strange at all! I associate people with vegetables a lot of the time... I think thats sort of like that? Maybe?

Sometimes after my husband and I have hung out with someone we'll leave and I'll say: "Didn't they remind you of a turnip?"

Umm k that's all I have to say about that.

Hmm... for people in real life....

I memorize their face and associate it with their name. It takes awhile, so I always forget people's names.

It works, unless people get a drastic haircut. I will sometimes walk right by a acquaintance/casual friend with a drastic haircut and honestly not recognize them.

I never had turnip like that before... it was orange and for thanksgiving so I assumed it was sweet potato/yam.

Very shocking when you expect a diff taste.
