My husband's 30th birthday is this thursday. I had originally planned a surprise dinner party at a Stephen Starr restaurant in Philly and invited a few of his friends for this Saturday. But his mother has now planned a party for him down at the shore with family, so I had to cancel my plans. Which is okay... I just wished that she had asked me if I had any plans instead of assuming we didn't and telling me when to show up.

That's all.

I know some of you are going to say: "Who cares about her plans" but honestly it's not worth the drama.

Besides, at least now I can save money and not have to worry about an expensive bill on top of his presents.

8" barrel is good for hunting, but not for the application i use it for. mine has a 4.5" barrel

daewoo makes some pretty interesting guns, check them out.

and i prefer my 1903a3 for long shots

1903a3 is great for shooting the Kaiser's forces. 8" barrel with a Leopold scope is great for hunting...anything.

I always THINK that I like being sick, usually when i'm healthy and sitting at work, jealous of the people who get to go home. Then I get the flu from hell. Going on 2 weeks now. Just when I thought I was getting over it on friday, I start getting these debilitating stomach cramps in addition to the uncontrollable coughing and head congestion. I think I blew my nose so many times this weekend i've not got an ear infection. Sigh, Next time I say that I wish I was sick and got to go home, I hope someone smacks the sh!t out of me.

Also, I hate it when people write general memos and place them in plain view, instead of actually talking to the person who did the dirty deed. I didn't put liquids in the trash, I didn't jam the copier, I didn't quote a wedding and give the wrong price. But there it is hanging on the wall right in my view... asking everyone read and initial.

I am annoyed today. I need more coffee. bbl.

I'm annoyed too. I woke up with 2 new notes from the apartment people.

The first says:

Dear Tenant,

Because of the fires in The City of Calgary (what fires?? ) once again we would like to address the matter of tenant insurance. Only a small percentage of our tenants seems to have current policies and we cannot stress the importance of this insurance in the event of a fire, flood or other disaster.

The Landlord is not responsible for damage to your belongings or the poperties of others as a result of an incident which you may have caused blah blah blah etc - we do not provide alternate accomodation - blah blah big brother talking.

This is the best part: This coverage is mandatory for all tenants and we will not be able to renew your lease if you have not acquired tenant insurance

Tenant insurance is very inexpensive and easily obtained through your auto insurance provider (ohhhh you get insurance from insurance companies)

Then:

Attention to all tenants in buildings blah and blah

We will enter all suites on Wed, October 14-09 to conduct our fall suite inpections. etc etc.

Now the odd thing about this one is that the day we came to do the walk through on this place (earlyish August) there was a note of the floor saying they were doing their Summer suite inspections on that day.

Now I don't know where these people live, but generally a new 'season' is every 4 months or so.

The stupidity is astounding.

Yes, thankfully it is.

We rented it sight unseen and only signed a 6 month lease. The lease is up January 31st - 16 weeks and 3 days.

We want to buy a house, so if we can organize that by January that would be great (first Mike has to get a job so we can qualify for a mortgage) - barring that we will just move somewhere else.

I guess I'm old! LOL. Actually, I've only been to one Swiss Chalet that was any good..... the one at Trafalgar and Upper Middle. All the rest of them were bad or mediocre. Watch the one at Traf & UM turn to ####### now that I've said that. lol

You should. It happens to me multiple times a day. And, sometimes, when I try to get people to articulate what they want me to do, they get really frustrated and mad. It's kind of weird.

I'm finding this a lot too at my new job!

Sometimes I feel like maybe my thought process is wrong, but then I realize that I know what I'm doing, it's them that has the problem being more articulate!

Wow okay! This is so interesting.

My MIL does it a lot, and people I work with. We speak the same language but there's some weird communication error that happens and for the past year I have felt that maybe something was really wrong with me. But I go back home and people know what I am saying.

I am just an office assistant it can't be that complicated... but sometimes the smallest thing becomes complicated and I hate it.
