Ugh, people at work are really something sometimes. I've had the flu for the better part of the last two weeks. It really got bad this week and as such I have been home sick. Well, I don't have the option to stay home today because some work is time sensitive and simply has to be done. On fridays, the office is pretty empty, so there are only 2 other people in my department at the moment. One of them feels the need to come into my office every 5 minutes to tell me about some flu remedy she's heard about or read on the internet. The other one is convinced I have swine flu and is wearing a surgeons mask. I was walking down the hall a few minutes ago and the lady with the surgeons mask walked by me. When I got within 10 feet of her, she made a point of moving over as close to the wall as possible. I think i'm going to go cough all over her phone receiver when she's at lunch. But then again, if she got sick, that would validate her paranoia. Hmmmmmm do I act like a responsible adult and just ignore it, or do I let the as$hole out?

I would move closer to her as she walked by, cough in her direction, and then go out of my way to walk by her desk.

I'm mean like that.

I normally am, but If I get other people sick, then that is more work for me next week when I'm hopefully back to 100%. I'm being considerate purely for self-preservation. Door still closed.

Well, even if you're feeling better next week, you should do it anyway. :D

so this morning we were still in bed when we heard a knock at the door... I didn't want to rush downstairs and answer the door so I just peaked out our window and I am almost sure it was one of our neighbors..

anyways, he went away but it left me thinking what he wanted.. then I thought maybe it was because we parked in the extra spot in the car port... no new neighbors have moved in next door yet, and that is the spot for that apartment.. and if it is the neighbor, he has parked in that spot since the other neighbors moved out but lately they haven't parked there so I have been parking there...

so I kind of pushed it aside until about 20 minutes ago I heard the knock again.. I knew it was the same person... so I am almost positive it is the neighbor... and I am pretty sure now it is about the spot but it isn't their spot to claim..

I didn't answer the door again because there is no way in heck I am answering the door at 10:30 in the evening...

I hate parents who think their kids do no wrong at all. This 14 year old kid grabbed my son by the throat and threw him down on the ground. So I went up to him to tell him that if he ever put his hands on Ethan again, I would call the police. So his mother comes out and tells me that I should let my son fight his own battles and not get involved.

Oh sorry, I forgot how it is in Jersey. We're supposed to toughen them up young.

They don't even live in this neighborhood, they live in a hotel nearby. They used to live here and got evicted because they couldn't pay their rent. The woman was missing teeth and got in my face waving her finger. I was just like: "Wow this is a walking cliche!"

OH my god!! And this wasn't at hockey? Just a kid outside? I can't believe the mother didn't scold her son, these are the types of kids who grow up into serious bullies/abusers

Nope, just a kid outside. Apparently Ethan isn't the first kid he's bullied. I called the police and am going to file a report.

His mother was like: "Maybe you need to get the whole story!"

Umm I don't need the story... your 14 year old son grabbed my son by the throat and threw him down to the ground. Other kids saw it.

She called Ethan immature too. Gotta love trash.

just to let you know I am not scared of the neighbor ..lol I just don't feel comfortable answering the door that late at night

I don't blame you. I don't even like to answer the door during daylight hours. Charles would answer the door late at night though, but then again he's got his buddies, Smith & Wesson, with him.

It's so nice to hear about a mother standing up for her sociopathic son. I'd tell you to knock her teeth out but it looks like gingivitis has already beaten you to it. Immaturity means phoning the police, not where I come from. How old is Ethan, is he younger than JD (juvenile delinquent)? It doesn't really matter, there is no excuse for this kind of nonsense. Why should Ethan engage the moron and get a bad reputation. Calling the Police, all I can say is, "Good for You Mum."

Ethan is 10. That's what really made me upset. This kid is 14 and throwing kids who are that much younger than him down to the ground.

Oh well now the police are now involved.
