What do you do when a woman from your husbands work keeps insisting he go out after work with her and do things with her?

You tell him to say yes and then you show up to crash her little party.

Len, what's this smack being talked about Seattle??!!!! As I was driving in the viaduct today, looking at the Olympics, the ferries, all the boats, I couldn't imagine a better place to live. We do have the most beautiful city in the US! :D

Oh wait, I'm supposed to be ranting. Uh....hmm...I'd like to rant that it's still hot outside here.

Our timeline:

2/88: We met in Sydney, Australia at a youth hostel! He's Finnish, I'm American-both were in our early 20s at the time and fresh out of college (so couldn't afford to visit each other's countries after that!). We had a three-day romance, then went our separate ways. He actually was going to Sydney a week later, but decided at the last minute to cut his trip short in another country and go early. Wow.

1988-1998: Wrote "snail mail" letters/sent Xmas cards, but lived our separate lives. I married someone else, divorced in 2006...he lived with someone for years and then that ended.

10/08: Because of a series of random life events, I Googled my Finn Man and found him (but no link to his email, and the website his name was on was in Estonian so I couldn't even read it!). It took me two weeks to find a link to someone else, who forwarded my email to him (we were both single at the time thankfully!!!!). The email went to his spam folder but he happened to check it that day and responded back to me immediately! This was after 10 years of no contact and almost 21 years of not seeing each other after we first met.

11/08-5/09: We traveled back and forth to visit each other. Love at first (second?) sight!

7/09: Married in Helsinki, Finland...after meeting randomly 21 1/2 years ago and finding each other again!!!!!

8/13/09: I-130 sent!!!!!!!!!

Rest is on my timeline!

I have a vent for today. I'm scheduled for a colonscopy for tomorrow morning. :dead: ick! I have to drink this 8 oz powdered laxative mixed with 64 ounces of liquid and drink it every 15 minutes until it's all gone! :o So I looked at the back of the Miralax, this powder, and it says the bottle is good for 2 weeks, and I have to take it all at once??? Yikes! Now, I'm not supposed to eat anything today either, but I'm SURE that won't matter. I will be one step away from the bathroom most of the afternoon I guess. What a HORRIBLE, HORRIBLE prep for this exam!! :help:

They made me have my first at 29. The prep is pretty awful. At least the exam is quick and you don't have to hang around the hospital for ong afterwards.

Ugh. I'm not looking forward to that at all. Can they give you anesthetic for a procedure like that?

"...My hair's mostly wind,

My eyes filled with grit

My skin's white then brown

My lips chapped and split

I've lain on the prairie and heard grasses sigh

I've stared at the vast open bowl of the sky

I've seen all the castles and faces in clouds

My home is the prairie and for that I am proud…

If You're not from the Prairie, you can't know my soul

You don't know our blizzards; you've not fought our cold

You can't know my mind, nor ever my heart

Unless deep within you there's somehow a part…

A part of these things that I've said that I know,

The wind, sky and earth, the storms and the snow.

Best say that you have - and then we'll be one,

For we will have shared that same blazing sun." - David Bouchard

Ohhhhh, poor Carla. I know exactly what you're going through. :( So sorry. Feel better soon, and have a clear test result. (F)

Ugh. I know how you feel, Ber + Ter. The past two nights have been ridiculous. Do you know I never went to bed until 6:30am yesterday morning? Well, I kept going to bed then being wide awake, so I would get up until I got sleepy again. Then last night was just as bad. Didn't get to sleep until 4:30am and then awake again at 8:00. I forced myself to get up because I have just GOT to reset my circadian rhythm. ugh

I just, don't know what it is. I cannot fall asleep for the life of me. And I work today too, so I'm sure a screw is loose somewhere. I've didn't fall asleep until 3:30am. I can't stop thinking...*RAGE*

Great a freaking pulled muscle in my back! Went to the chiropractor on Monday and it wasn't as bad, got fitted for orthotics for my shoes. Today, I can barely bend over, it hurts to sit. Ice, Advil, repeat...LOL...and another trip to the chiropractor on Friday  Oh well at least I have insurance up until the end of next week. Not what I needed before I start packing up my worldly belongings in a week!! :crying:
