I had made a comment about how I had spent $200 @ lululemon when I was in Canada on my sister in law's facebook wall. (this store that sells yogo-type wear..its awesome but expensive) My sister in law is dating a guy from Canada so shes been down in Toronto and loves this store, too.

So all of a sudden, the bride to be must have seen this and wrote:

"finds it funny how much people bitched about their " excessive bills"

yet blow so much on clothes. and use stupid transparent excuses to get

out of duties. wow. yeah i'm onto your ###### and so is EVERYONE else.

don't worry it wasn't MY choice putting you in."

I guess after spending about $650.00 dollars on her wedding so far (haven't paid for make up and hair, two nights in a hotel, transportation down to Philadelphia and back and their wedding gift which has to be at least $250.00 dollars) that's not enough.

I didn't realize me spending money on myself, something I never get to do because I'm always working and looking after the dogs, is wrong and I don't have the right to do that. (I saved up for like 2 months to go shopping with my friends in Canada...)

I guess it wasn't "her choice" to put me in the wedding so I guess someone twisted her arm to do so. So, knowing that now, she obviously doesn't want me in it...I just called my brother in law and told him I was done. I'm disappointed that we couldn't work it out, because I really would have liked to. But at the same time, am I really going to have her defame me in public? I want to hold onto some pride.

I'm worried that what hapepned to Nev though is going to happen to me. I'm paranoid now.

OMG! Pretty pleeeeeease let me come over there and smack that girl. Wow...just wow. I'm so glad you finally took yourself out of her wedding. Don't feel bad, that nutcase more than deserved it.

My brother in law that just sounded like a wilted man. He just kept on saying to me, "I don't know what to do.."

I wanted to say to him, "I'm not sure what you should do...but you can't let her keep doing this...it's just not right"

"...My hair's mostly wind,

My eyes filled with grit

My skin's white then brown

My lips chapped and split

I've lain on the prairie and heard grasses sigh

I've stared at the vast open bowl of the sky

I've seen all the castles and faces in clouds

My home is the prairie and for that I am proud…

If You're not from the Prairie, you can't know my soul

You don't know our blizzards; you've not fought our cold

You can't know my mind, nor ever my heart

Unless deep within you there's somehow a part…

A part of these things that I've said that I know,

The wind, sky and earth, the storms and the snow.

Best say that you have - and then we'll be one,

For we will have shared that same blazing sun." - David Bouchard

Amanda :(

She will not change and things will only get worse. I know you can not convince him to change his mind about marrying her. But he has to grow a spine. He sounds like a great guy, the kind that will stand by her no matter what, and unfortunately that will only cause a divide between him and his family because she is the one who seems to be calling the shots.

It is extremely sad but these are her true colours, she is showing them loud and clear and that's the warning sign. He should get out before it's too late. But sadly he probably won't. He probably feels so stuck now because of the time and money that has been invested into this day.

She is alienating all of her friends and family and she will eventually pull him down too.

I am sorry this is happening to you because you of all people don't deserve it.

I would have told him that if her behavior bothers him, he needs to talk to her about it.

I'm glad you quit and I'm sure you will be in the long run as well. Is the dress wearable for other things at least?

He should get out before it's too late.... a divorce in the long run (which seems likely) will be more financially and emotionally draining than cancelling the wedding

Thanks, guys! I needed to hear a little positivity and that I did the right thing after all that happened today. I hope in the future that everything calms down. I hope that somehow my brother in law finds a way to deal with it all. I know he is not doing so great right now after a year of all of this. I have a great husband, family, house, dogs, etc. so I won't let it get me down!

Sounds like someone needs to object to the wedding when the ceremony gets to that point

 where is the wedding at? maybe a few vj'ers can show up, object, and have a meetup at the same time.

Amanda, you definitely did the right thing!!! You lasted much longer than most of us would have ... hope you can have some peace now.

I posted this in the Baby Corner but it irritated me so much I have to double vent:

Well, I was so annoyed when I picked Declan up from daycare today. I sent his lunch in a tupperware container (leftovers from last night's dinner). I packed a fair amount, just because I wanted him to have enough if it was one of his piggo days. So, I went to grab something out of the bag we leave at daycare all week, with extra clothes and stuff in it. And lo and behold, I found the tupperware container, with half of the food still in it. I asked them why they didn't refrigerate it after Declan ate half of his meal, so I could use the rest for dinner or lunch tomorrow. Apparently, someone worked in the infant room who normally doesn't. And I was told that "some parents want to see how much is left". Well, yes, I would like to know how much my kid eats, but putting the food back into the refrigerator is not going to make that amount shrink or anything, and it would actually allow us to USE the food again, instead of throwing it out. I know it is a minor thing, but wastefulness annoys the hell out of me, plus it was a stressful day at work so I was ready to snap.

Holy moses :o I've been following your posts on this drama for the past few months and that girl has some serious nerve. Good for you for stepping back from that sack o' craziness. That's just un-freaking-believable that someone would do that. GAH.

She needs a serious dose of reality of she thinks the entire world revolves around her picture perfect wedding day. Gah.
