I like to believe what I want to believe. Like if they say something mean about someone I am not particularly fond of, I'll believe it. :P

And even if I'm told over and over the Hills is fake and scripted, I choose to believe that it IS reality!

How can u stand those two people on The hills?? I watched 1 episode "Gte me out of here, I'm a celebrity" And thosde two, heidi and whats his name, drove me nutz! lol

Canadians Visiting the USA while undergoing the visa process, my free advice:

1) Always tell the TRUTH. never lie to the POE officer

2) Be confident in ur replies

3) keep ur response short and to the point, don't tell ur life story!!

4) look the POE officer in the eye when speaking to them. They are looking for people lieing and have been trained to find them!

5) Pack light! No job resumes with you

6) Bring ties to Canada (letter from employer when ur expected back at work, lease, etc etc)

7) Always be polite, being rude isn't going to get ya anywhere, and could make things worse!!

8) Have a plan in case u do get denied (be polite) It wont harm ur visa application if ur denied, that is if ur polite and didn't lie! Refer to #1

Those 2 are definitely entertaining.... but they make the Hills pretty fun to watch, because it's so stupid and ridiculous

Mosquitoes! GRRRRRRRR! I just got back in from watering the garden and I was eaten alive - and I put on mosquito repellent before I went out. I am going to have to resort to wearing long pants and long sleeves when I water the garden now - not something I enjoy when the weather is still in the 90s. (scratch, scratch, itch, itch - even with the antihistamine anti-itch cream - GRRRRRR!) I have welts all over my arms and legs!

“...Isn't it splendid to think of all the things there are to find out about? It just makes me feel glad to be alive--it's such an interesting world. It wouldn't be half so interesting if we knew all about everything, would it? There'd be no scope for imagination then, would there?”

or you could get one of those silly mosquito suits. At least it would be cool and keep them off you.

I'm sooo tempted! I currently am supervisor in a retail store, and I had 4 employee's working and only 2 were doing there jobs. It was crazy busy and the other two were chatting away without a care in the world. Then one of the incompetent employees has his girlfriend come in and they proceeded to kiss and hug. They're all getting fired. :ranting: I had to leave early, because I almost said some pretty nasty comments, as well, I was about ready to toss a computer across the room.

Trust me, I tried. They had more than enough things to do, but I suppose since they only had an hour left in their shift, they were under the impression that they didn't have to finish their tasks. As well, I had people left and right asking me for assistance, so it wasn't exactly easy to keep on their tails the entire time. But it's okay. They've had their 3rd and FINAL strike. They can kiss the pavement for all I bloody care. :innocent:

Question for you! Since you work in a retail store here, what is the starting wage for someone working in a retail store - well in your store in particular?
