I was the worst when I bought my yaris! The guy said 300.00 a month and I thought it sounded good so I was like: "OKAY!"

And then my husband kicked me in the leg under the table.

I didn't know the game at all! We talked him down though.

I am a salesmans wet dream. :(

They say to NEVER deal on the monthly payments, you deal on the price of the car!!

Yea like I said... I let my husband do that stuff. :P

Mike and I would be great at buying a car together.

When we bought our two cars, I thought Jared would be awesome because he talked a mean game before we went to the dealerships and he knows A LOT about cars.

When we got there and it was time to negotiate, THE LITTLE BABY needed me to be the hard ####! When we bought the CR-V, he got all flustered and looked like he was going to have a mild heart attack. I had to take over!

"...My hair's mostly wind,

My eyes filled with grit

My skin's white then brown

My lips chapped and split

I've lain on the prairie and heard grasses sigh

I've stared at the vast open bowl of the sky

I've seen all the castles and faces in clouds

My home is the prairie and for that I am proud…

If You're not from the Prairie, you can't know my soul

You don't know our blizzards; you've not fought our cold

You can't know my mind, nor ever my heart

Unless deep within you there's somehow a part…

A part of these things that I've said that I know,

The wind, sky and earth, the storms and the snow.

Best say that you have - and then we'll be one,

For we will have shared that same blazing sun." - David Bouchard

Yea he's quite funny in fact he got up and shook the guys hand and did the whole: "Thank you, we'll be going elsewhere though" and then the guy was like: "Ahh you're killing me! Okay hang on!" and gave us a price we couldn't refuse.

It was my first car though. I didn't understand any of it. I'm learning though.

That was the worst part. The Versa was my first car too, and Jared's 100th! That little #######!

One has to remember that YOU are in control (99.9% of the time), your not the one that NEEDS the car. They are the ones that NEED to seel a car to make a living! As well in bigger cities, one can goto other dealers! I did that In Victoria when I bought my last Acura. The sales lady said that was their final price. So I said, great, I'm off to Vancouver tomorrow! Saved a lot of $$$ by doing that, and had a holiday! She called me up and asked if I bought a car and how much I paid, sorry, not ur business, lol

Canadians Visiting the USA while undergoing the visa process, my free advice:

1) Always tell the TRUTH. never lie to the POE officer

2) Be confident in ur replies

3) keep ur response short and to the point, don't tell ur life story!!

4) look the POE officer in the eye when speaking to them. They are looking for people lieing and have been trained to find them!

5) Pack light! No job resumes with you

6) Bring ties to Canada (letter from employer when ur expected back at work, lease, etc etc)

7) Always be polite, being rude isn't going to get ya anywhere, and could make things worse!!

8) Have a plan in case u do get denied (be polite) It wont harm ur visa application if ur denied, that is if ur polite and didn't lie! Refer to #1

ha ha.. my honda dealer in PEI said the same thing... we don't have to put sale prices on our cars.. cause if you don't buy it someone else will.. I of course bought it no questions asked..

What?? I'm a girl.. it's what I do

Did I understand this correctly...its his 100th car? Not literally right??

over-exaggeration. I tend to do that on the internetz.

It was probably his 5th or 6th. He's had some junkers.

My vent for today! I can't seem to get a decent sleep now a days! This shift work is sure taking its toll on me! Only 3 months left...... I just got off a 5 night rotation and I am exhausted...the 4 days I had off prior did not feel like any days off as I had so much to do with wedding planning! Now that I am on days off again I can't even relax! Woke up @ 4:30 am and could not fall back asleep! Fell asleep @ 12 am. Was tired this afternoon, tried to nap, as soon as my head hit the pillow....wide AWAKE!

try taking 5HTP, extra calcium and magnesium and valerian. You can take all together and they definitely help with sleep issues.

“...Isn't it splendid to think of all the things there are to find out about? It just makes me feel glad to be alive--it's such an interesting world. It wouldn't be half so interesting if we knew all about everything, would it? There'd be no scope for imagination then, would there?”
