So our landlord informs us today we won't be getting interest back on our deposit.. why? cause he didn't get any interest from our former landlord (who sold the building to him)... All of this JUST keeps getting better and better.

#######!? That is complete BS!

I'm too tired to fight this all.. honestly.. just to flipping tired to fight for $30.00 or whatever..

I don't blame you for that.... I just can't believe the rotten luck you've had in all of this! I hope it turns around soon, for the better :)

Ya, you could prob fight it, but then he becomes a jerk and holds back $$$ for "made up" damages!! Now if he does become a jerk, then demand the interest!

Canadians Visiting the USA while undergoing the visa process, my free advice:

1) Always tell the TRUTH. never lie to the POE officer

2) Be confident in ur replies

3) keep ur response short and to the point, don't tell ur life story!!

4) look the POE officer in the eye when speaking to them. They are looking for people lieing and have been trained to find them!

5) Pack light! No job resumes with you

6) Bring ties to Canada (letter from employer when ur expected back at work, lease, etc etc)

7) Always be polite, being rude isn't going to get ya anywhere, and could make things worse!!

8) Have a plan in case u do get denied (be polite) It wont harm ur visa application if ur denied, that is if ur polite and didn't lie! Refer to #1

right.. it's true...

he is giving us the deposit back early (partly because it benefits him for us to move to this new place early), so I'm not going to go there..

Em .... my dad lives in Hamden. I'm laughing about the lower tax rates, because he is ALWAYS bitching about how high they are there! I'll tell him he could have it worse!!!

The Whitney Lakes are gorgeous. I actually wouldn't mind living in Hamden if I moved back. Hey! We could be neighbors!

I really dislike my neighbors downstairs.

My son that the ladies son (its just her and her son) was taking pictures of my car and license plate the other day. I have no clue why he would do that.

All he does is yell at the kids outside, I mean hey I apologize that your childhood was probably unhappy and you can't stand the sound of children laughing and playing, but get over it.

I want to take a lighter to their lame garden of fake plants.

Okay, so I am just in a pissy mood today. Sorry for the TMI, but my hormones are all out of whack and I have had my "lady troubles" for 13 fricking days now. This has never happened before. My doctor is not too stressed, just told me to keep an eye on it and if it continues, we will look at different BC or something. But I am emotional and stressed and whiny and I HATE that!!!! I have been really struggling to do my job because honestly, it takes more energy than I have at the moment. I am getting so frustrated that, now that I made up my mind that for us to survive financially, we really need to move to a more urban area ... and I can't seem to get a call back for a job. I admit I am spoiled, because I have never had that happen before.

This is a good and bad thing: because hubby knows how extremely stressed I have been, he suggested taking a trip to the Granby QC zoo (about 2 hours away). We have a little Canadian money left from when hubster visited Vancouver. When he went to exchange it back to American, he would have ended up not getting all that much (with the exchange rate then plus the service fees), so we just held on to it. It's enough for the zoo trip. So, I am excited about getting away, but also feeling a bit guilty, because I feel like I should change the money despite any fees and use it for bills.

The Granby Zoo is fun. It sounds like you really need this getaway. Consider the Canadian money an investment in your mental health - which you need to keep in order to stay on top of everything else. So, go and enjoy yourselves.

“...Isn't it splendid to think of all the things there are to find out about? It just makes me feel glad to be alive--it's such an interesting world. It wouldn't be half so interesting if we knew all about everything, would it? There'd be no scope for imagination then, would there?”

I agree with Kathryn autumn...it sounds like you're overwhelmed right now. You need to take a time out, for yourself, and your family. Use that money...go to the zoo....laugh and de-stress. Post pictures!
