My boss threw up in her office today.

"...My hair's mostly wind,

My eyes filled with grit

My skin's white then brown

My lips chapped and split

I've lain on the prairie and heard grasses sigh

I've stared at the vast open bowl of the sky

I've seen all the castles and faces in clouds

My home is the prairie and for that I am proud…

If You're not from the Prairie, you can't know my soul

You don't know our blizzards; you've not fought our cold

You can't know my mind, nor ever my heart

Unless deep within you there's somehow a part…

A part of these things that I've said that I know,

The wind, sky and earth, the storms and the snow.

Best say that you have - and then we'll be one,

For we will have shared that same blazing sun." - David Bouchard

Instead of going to the washroom, she just continued to throw up in there. It was more than once.

And now they have to have a caretaker come in and throw hamster chips on it?

Or do they do that down here?? Remember in Canada when a kid puked in class the caretaker would come in and throw hamster chips or sawdust on it and then sweep it up?

Donne moi une poptart!

That's a little disturbing because she obviously did a search for you.

Yes she has my e-mail addy so that's how she must have found me. I don't want her to see my pics and stuff, what if I have a houseparty or something and she comments

 THAT is funny..

My rant for today is kinda a silly one.. my husband and BIL were talking on the phone (BIL is in Iraq right now) and hubby was complaining that I didn't cook him dinner for his birthday (whatever I took him out for surf & terf).. then he continues that I refuse to cook in america because Kraft Dinner doesn't taste the same :bonk: man oh man...

So i email my BIL in Iraq and say .. btw I DO in fact cook for hubby.. to which he replies "yes but define 'cook'" :bonk:

so the 4 year old I babysit is going through this weird phase... I kind of noticed it the last few weeks but today it was really bad.. every 5 seconds he was asking me where I was or what I was doing.. even when I would tell him beforehand that I was going to go put Reece down for a nap.. a minute later he would ask, "Marilyn where are you?"

it was starting to drive me a little batty

I told the mom about it when she got home and she said he has been doing that with them too...

Last night before I went to bed my left toe starting throbbing...

And of course, it is a flare-up of gout.

Yes, that's right! I have gout! It's complete hereditary as my father has it pretty bad and my grandfather had it. Somehow in missed the gender line and now I have it at 25. I had my first taste of it early 2008 when I thought I had broken my foot. Turns out, nope, it was just gout.

So now I'm home because I can't put pressure on it.

My husband's also sick now for 3 days so I've sent him to the doctors about an hour ago. He can't seem to shake his fever.

Blah!

My ex has gout. His doctor put him on medication for it. For the first few months on the meds, he had flare ups. After a while though they went away and he's had none since then.

Why does everything to do with moving here have to be so bloody hard?

I can't register my car here until I have my Georgia driver's license. I can't do the road test for my driver's license in a car not registered in Georgia.

I can't use Phil's car because he needs to be able to use it for work.

Grrrr.....

UGH Amanda! My Dad had gout for years until he started a new medicine and takes it daily. He's not had gout now for over 10 years because of taking this drug. I cringe when I hear people have gout. I remember how painful it was for him!! It has to be worse than a toothache!!

I know people laugh at others that have it, I think because they don't know or can't imagine what it's like, and the fact that it usually involves the big toe. I know as a kid I laughed ONCE  when my Dad had it. He used to whimper when we were even walking by him while he had the his foot up in the chair saying the breeze we created when we walked by made his toe hurt!! And the sheet on the bed was too much pressure on it...my gosh, I hope you take care of yourself!
