It is funny. My two cousins fiances say the meanest things to eachother via status updates on facebook and yet in person they just don't talk. You'd think one would remove the other or maybe when they saw eachother in person they'd just have it out with one another. But nope, they just stay clear of eachother. People are powerful behind a keyboard. They don't think as much as when they're not face to face with someone.

I have a cousin who was calling me names via facebook because I called her a druggie - she posted pictures of herself doing drugs - I thought it was childish. She called me a bunch of names and I just removed her. Of course when I last saw her in person she was all smiles. If you're going to call me names over the internet, you should at least be able to back it up to my face.

And not to go way off topic, but look at that mother who bullied that girl so much that she killed herself? Look at that kid who killed himself via webcam and people cheered him on. Behind a keyboard its so easy to be a pr1ck. Just take a look in the OT - half of those people probably wouldn't say a thing to one another if you took them and put them in a room together.

I try my best and I can also vouch for Amanda that we are the way we are. But when you meet someone from the internet who's a smarta$$ and can't hold their own in person, it just makes them look lame. You realize how small a person is when they are mean over the net yet k1ssing your butt irl.

I am not going to justify my decisons to use both to anyone. Go ahead and hate it. The less users on twitter, the less "we're over capacity" errors I get. :P

Nor should you have to justify any decisions, especially over the internet. But this is the internet, and people will fearlessly express their feelings and opinions on things :P

'Tis funny that you say that, Robbie and Mellie. I was thinking abotu this last week when my bridezilla situation was continuing. So many people are fearless on the internet and it leads them around to be people they are not or the real them comes out. Like, the maid of honour in the wedding is a total ####### over the internet to me, but then when she sees me face to face she's all nicey-nice because she knows that if she opened her mouth, I'd intellectually defend myself and put her down.

However, I am exactly on the internet as I am in real life and can also vouch for Nevada and Jill. The way they appear here and the things they both say are what they act like in real life. Nevada and I are ball-busters. We are kinda tough. Jill is very sweet. Nev and I are overly honest. Guess it's just the way we are and I don't understand why people are different on the internet. What are they so afraid of in their real life?

I could write a novel on this..maybe I should.

So I asked all my coworkers if they brought their condoms to work today because we're about to get fvcked. They're changing our good healthcare to crappy healthcare and we're having meetings today about it. Its a high deductible plan.

Basically I have to spend 2,500 before my insurance kicks in. But my work is so nice to give us all credit cards with 1500 on it so that we can use up to 1500 a year. Once that 1500 is gone, we have to pay 1000 out of pocket and then our deductible kicks in.

Gotta love the system.

I don't really see a doctor too often. Luckily my husband and I have savings and if I need that 1000.00 it is there for me to use. But there are some people I work with who aren't that fortunate and who don't have 1000.00 laying around. I feel bad for them.

It will be interesting to see what they say at the meeting, how they will try to sell this to the employees. Will they be honest and explain they are just trying to save themselves money, or will they explain how it will benefit everyone there.

No, everyone knows it isn't going to benefit us. My boss just got over breast cancer and has medications that cost her 700.00 a month. She basically says she has two months and then has to pay 1000.00 and then the plan kicks in. She's a single mom, she doesn't have 1000.00 laying around.

It isn't my bosses who decide this, its actually our members, the board of directors. I would like to ask the president of the board if he would like this plan for himself and his family. Buuut I don't think that would go over well. :P

Our last plan was going up... apparently this is common right now. My husbands insurance was just raised too and they had to drop his eye care. ####### happens... or rather ####### is happening.

I love how the people from Aetna are here though acting like it benefits us. I can't wait for my turn to meet with them. Do I look like I was born yesterday???

That's really horrible! We have Aetna too, and as of now it's a really superb plan....

Aetna does have some great plans, we aren't getting one of their great plans though.

I hate the health care system here and that's all I will say about that. :P

My son is on my husbands plan so he's taken care of. Its just me who's getting the boot in the a$$ this year.

 Is it cheaper fro you to be on your own plan??

I also have Aetna for my dental and it sux the big one (its a DMO). As soon as we have the change over period in October I'm going to pay a bit more money so that I can go on the state dentist plan that lets me go to any dentist I want.

Right now the closest dentist to me in my network is 30 minutes away!!

I have BCBS for my state health care plan though and its pretty good.

"...My hair's mostly wind,

My eyes filled with grit

My skin's white then brown

My lips chapped and split

I've lain on the prairie and heard grasses sigh

I've stared at the vast open bowl of the sky

I've seen all the castles and faces in clouds

My home is the prairie and for that I am proud…

If You're not from the Prairie, you can't know my soul

You don't know our blizzards; you've not fought our cold

You can't know my mind, nor ever my heart

Unless deep within you there's somehow a part…

A part of these things that I've said that I know,

The wind, sky and earth, the storms and the snow.

Best say that you have - and then we'll be one,

For we will have shared that same blazing sun." - David Bouchard

It is cheaper for us to be on my own plan but if my son and I were all on my husbands it would be over 500.00 a month. So shelling out a 1000.00 extra and thats only IF I need to, isn't as bad as him paying that much. Once I pay that 1000.00 they'll cover me 100 percent.

Omg I can hear them meeting now and the lady is acting like this is GREAT! She's talking about how GREAT it is and how convenient it is for her. You're a freaking liar, you aren't on that plan you stupid b1tch.

Its like the time in college when ford came in to talk about how they got Gretzky on board for their campaign and it was more like they were trying to sell us cars than talk about the ad industry. Anyways at the end when they were taking questions I put up my hand and asked them what kind of car they drove... well they didn't drive fords that's for sure.

One word for why they show no fear on the internet...... Repercussions. There are virtually none on the internet, lest you anger some vindictive hacker ;)

I'm a snide pr!ck in everyday life, and I imagine I come off as one on the internet as well. I'm not all bad though.

Repercussions are generally, in life, something you give to yourself, not something from the 'outside'. If you are only nice, for instance, to a person because they might hit you - then I would venture to say that is a problem you have - internet or not.

That's not directed at you rob btw, i'm just saying in general.

methinks this would be a good new topic.

I don't see it that way. You don't act in a civil manner at work because you decided it. It's a societal norm that directs how you behave yourself in life.

My BIL just emailed me to ask me who he can send his resume to. YHe wants to work here for the summer. You mean you haven't sent it in yet? It's almost June... the course has been open for over a month. All of the jobs that he wants - are gone.

He wants me to put a word in for him. He thinks he's going to get a job.

He didn't want to put a resume in before because as his own mother put it: "He's a quitter and he felt that if he quit there it would reflect badly on you and he didn't want that" thanks, but now you want me to pull strings and the golf season is already well under way??

You can send it in but you're not guaranteed a job. He really frustrates me.

I remember you talking about a relative wanting you to get them a job a few months ago, but you didn't want to bother because they tended to quit. Is this the same person?

Aren't summer jobs usually applied for in the beginning of March anyways?
