I am horribly indecisive!! I have 6 photo albums strung across my room trying to figure out which pictures and how many to include for our wedding slideshow!! I have so many baby pics and elementary I don't know what to do with! Then I have got to go threw all of the pictures we have as a couple! This is definitely more time consuming than I thought it would be! :bonk: I am just glad I am not the one doing it, my fiance who is better with powerpoint and putting music and all that jazz together! Has anyone done a slideshow at their wedding? if so How many pictures did you include of the two of you growing up and then as a couple before getting married?

we just did a small slideshow., can't remember how long it was.

my hubby didn't really seem to have a lot of photos of himself growing up :P

you don't want it to be too long... maybe 10 minutes or so....

Oh you just reminded me of one of the most delightful wedding 'presentations' I have ever seen. They called for the Toast to the Bride and named the Best Man. He stood up, apologized profusely that he misunderstood - he thought he was supposed to 'roast' the bride, not 'toast' the bride, and put together a slide show to do that. Since he didn't have a toast prepared, he hoped everyone would understand and watch the show, since it was already done (that was a good intro too). He then proceeded to 'roast' the bride (and groom) through the slide show. He had gathered all sorts of photos of the happy couple from babyhood to adult hood that I am sure they thought had been thrown away (and probably were right afterwards) and were obviously provided by family members who were in cahoots with the Best Man. There was nothing mean or insensitive but there were some embarassing shots and some very candid shots! It was great - often hilarious - and thoroughly enjoyed by everyone - even the bride and groom.

That is cute! I am definitely putting some funny pictures in there of me and I am putting alot of my family members that will come to the wedding in some of the shots as well! I am going to have to convince my fiance to put a few embarassing shots in with his photos.

Here's my rant.... I had worked some overtime in the last 2 months to save up 20 hours, that I could transfer to later in the year to cover some time off that I needed to do things like the Montreal interview, and the medical in Toronto. Well, this week and last week has been REALLY slow at work, and I've had NOTHING TO DO. Last Tuesday I left early, last Wednesday I didn't even go in at all, and Thursday I left early. THIS week, I left early yesterday AND today already, and I'll be really surprised if I don't leave a couple hours early tomorrow. My 20 overtime hours that I worked so hard to obtain?? GONE. I had to use them to cover this unexpected time off, or else take a hit on my paycheque, which I can't afford. So, now I have to work overtime again to get them back, and now I'm feeling unsure that I will have enough work through the summer to GET those hours back, because all the part timers are taking the extra work! ARGH!

Ugh. I'm going to have to log off. My parents' computer seems to have picked up some pita "bug" and it's too frustrating being online with every 2nd page blocking me saying blah blah blah. I've tried everything I can to fix it but to no avail. Good thing my future SIL is coming over on Saturday. Hopefully, he can fix it. And don't think it hasn't escaped my notice that I am the common denominator in machines with computer viruses. icon2.gif

I'm very nervous, as the economy is affecting the company I used to work for and where my husband currently works, for the past 5 years.... they shut down the Miami office, today laid off 5 people in the NJ office and also 5 people in the Jacksonville office.... and tomorrow, the 2 owners of the company are going to the Philly office :crying: no word yet why, but common sense would indicate why they are going to Philly.... I have my fingers crossed, if Glen gets laid off now I'm still not working :(

Ever really really want to say something to someone, and you know you shouldn't, but for some reason your busting at the seams wanting to just yell it in their face? I have that feeling right now. I shouldn't say it. Its insensitive and rude, but I'm blunt and believe in giving tough live. I won't say it!
