The Vent - Part 2

Well he's okay. He just has a cold, the doctor told him to stay home today and that he should be fine to go to his hockey games if he rests today. They gave him some antibiotics.

BUT apparently he has really high cholesterol for his age. I don't understand this, we really don't eat fried or fatty foods, however diabetes and high cholesterol runs in my family so it's probably genetic.

Boo.

Glad to hear he's OK! It's probably genetic, at age 8 I was in a special study at the Montreal Children's Hospital due to my high cholesterol at such a young age. It was genetic of course and I still have it, but it's on the lower side now since I control it naturally (vitamins & supplements)!!

So my Japanese friend (who is trying to do internet based business) asked me today to use our bank account to run their US amazon purchases through..

I said a big fat N-O...

get your own US bank account and do it the right (and legal) way.

My neighbors downstairs are really nice, a single lady and her teen daughter... anyway, the Mom's bedroom is directly below ours and every night, we hear her snoring SO loud through the floors! I can't believe I can hear someone snoring in a different apartment, either our floors are really thin or she is extra loud!

Just imagine if she brought a boyfriend home one night, then the next day you see her.... Awkward!!!

You: Oh I heard you praying last night in your bedroom.

Ok...this is a vent so I can be a little off topic.

Today I get a phone call while at work. Our phone system has a different ring if it is an internal call vs outside call. It is an outside call. I am always a little bit surprised when someone from the outside calls me directly since in my job position I don't get phone calls. Normally it is just the person has called the wrong number and is looking for a different department.

I pick up the phone, and say Hello, this is M....and I am 100% freaked out by the voice on the other end of the phone.

Imagine the creepiest voice you can imagine...Hello M, it is your "uncle". I freak out and hang up the phone. I instantly recognized the voice.

The creep is a mentally disturbed individual who stole my identity, tried to run me over with his car, broke into my apartment and while in my apartment an altercation ensued. I was stabbed but was able to hold him, while my ex called the police. He was convicted and sentenced to jail. I moved from the Northeast USA to Hawaii. Get as far away as possible from this nut job. It has been 10 years - which was the length of his jail time. I guess his free and now I feel like I am being stalked.

Right now I am so freaked out, I can't concentrate on work.

Wow! Is there any way you could put a trace on the phone call? Where I work if the caller is abusive or won't identify themselves we trace it just in case anything happens from it. Totally different situation, with children but still! Is there any way to report him? If he just got out of jail, this guy is probably still on probation or something! Stay safe!

Excellent advice Jill! You need to call the police and report the conduct. Also, I'd call HR in your office to make them aware of this person and the history. They may be able to pull the call history to your # to help with an investigation.

I knew Annie. I jumped at every chance to dog sit, because she was just that great of dog.

She originally belonged to my BF. After 2 years, Leahann and Adam had to give her away because Leahann's allergies were growing too severe. Leahann called one day to say that they had finally found her the perfect home in the country.

I saw on FB today that she was sad about the loss of Annie's life. I googled to see what she was talking about.

She was the sweetest dog.

I hope they catch whoever did this cruel act.

Excellent advice Jill! You need to call the police and report the conduct. Also, I'd call HR in your office to make them aware of this person and the history. They may be able to pull the call history to your # to help with an investigation.

Yes tell the HR dept.. and make sure they inform security (if you have security).. don't take chances on this one.. holy flip that stuff is scary!
