My Hammy's here!!!! He surprised me on Wednesday by just showing up on my doorstep asking me to marry him. He wasn't supposed to be here until Saturday. I couldn't stop shaking for like ten minutes and he was barely able to get the ring on cause I was shaking so bad.

Double post, sorry!

An update with me....I've barely been on here because I've been so busy with my new job. Settled in well, still learning new thing every day and getting to know my staff. The hours are long but it's nice to be contributing income wise.

Had a badly impacted wisdom tooth out today....oh my god, the worst thing ever. The sedative they gave me to take an hour before the procedure did not work, so I shook and cried through the whole thing. My anxiety was extreme. The dentists manner left a lot to be desired, she pretty much told me to man up because it was only going to make it harder for her. Uh, yeah, about that. Pretty hard to calm down when your anxiety levels are sky high. At least its done now, and I have some lovely painkillers to get me through. At least they are working!

I'm glad to see so much good news from everyone as of late...makes me so happy for you all

Oh god. NVC RFE'd me for my Police Certificate. I sent a full QLD Fingerprint Police Cert (it cost me like $140)...

Weird thing is, the RFE Checklist has all the details about getting police certs in every state EXCEPT QLD...

I'm guessing this means I'm about to spend a few hours on the phone to NVC to confirm ####### they're on about

We've all been done for that, it's a false RFE. Ring NVC and speak with an operator to confirm that you've sent the correct PCC as per their requirements. If you wait a couple of days, they'll confirm that they don't need it ...

Called them right on opening time - no time on hold = WIN!

Turns out that my case was completed on 10th of June... and that this "checklist" is because my police certificate was meant to go to the US Consulate in Sydney, not to NVC? (WEIRD)

Anyway... I'm sighing relief now because my case (Operator AND AVR Updated) is completed.

Might call the AFP tomorrow and see if they can send the Cert to the Consulate JUST in case...

Strange though - I'm guessing my SIF doesn't happen until my visa becomes available, which will be pretty soon according to the July Visa Bulletin

I'll be much happier when I'm not waiting anymore and I can just get on with life... hahaha

Mine was in my file.

We got our RFE today and I'm very pleased to say it was something incredibly minor. It stated "You submitted 3 pages of a 46-page final decree of divorce for # and #. It is noted, however, this document does not show if it was ever submitted to the court for filing. Submit all of the pages of the legal termination of the marriage of # and #."

So all he has to do is photocopy all 46 pages and fedex it back to them tomorrow - which he is going to do on his lunchbreak Soooooo happy it was something really simple Thanks to all

Yeah, I'm not sure why they'd want it to go straight to the consulate anyway... Wouldn't it be easier keeping all the paperwork together? Idiots... Anyway packet 4 and medical soon... BRING IT ON
