Hello my fellow Aussies,

Has been a long time since I posted down here, but I must admit this website makes me depressed lately. Anyhow, Congrats to all the recent approvals, and I hope you have all safe flights. To those who have just started out, Good luck with your journey I hope it is speedy.

As for me, well we have nearly reached the 11th month in the K1 system, tis a fun place, and are currently in the process of (put simply) suing USCIS. Our lawyer thinks at the way things are going we should have our court date this week (for next week or the following) and then hopefully our NOA2 by the end of August, if everything goes to plan hopefully I will be home come Thanksgiving.

Chris and I have given up on this waiting apart ####### so I am heading back to the states either way on the 4th of August, to at the very least spend some of the summer there with him, and his family. Something I am very looking forward too. Hopefully LAX officers will be in a good mood that morning and I will once again have a simple passage through customs.

Hope everyone up over is having a wonderful summer, and everyone stuck down under has found a warm place to hide from this horrid weather.

Mara

I hope so soon, our Lawyer seems to think that things should go smoothly, I am really hoping I will have to move my flights back to Australia to September for the interview. As for the reason, no idea, nobody is telling us anything, which is why we took on the lawyer.... Hopefully the whole court process will get us an answer sooner rather then later to that very question though :)

Hey Sharyna, www.immi.gov is your best bet to find the right visa - not sure if this link will work since it's a search result (you might have to re-enter the info) but these are the Aussie spousal visas: Clicky!

I know it's early for me but I found my wedding dress today <3 I feel like a queen in it! I guess it's not bad to get it so far ahead, since it takes 12 weeks to order in and it's one less thing to worry about :)

July 2007 - met Jesse at a beach party held by mutual friends in Long Island, NY

May 2008 - J-1 visa expired, had to move back to Australia

July 2008-September 2008 - lived with Jesse for three months in Staten Island, NY

March 2009 - Jesse comes to Australia for 3 weeks

April 2009 - Engaged!

05/20/09 - I-129F petition mailed in

05/22/09 - NOA1!

05/25/09 - touch

09/09/09 - NOA2!

10/01/09 - due to fiance's illness, we are abandoning pursuit of K-1 at this point. Packet 3 received from consulate but won't be returned.
