Hi,

I have just received packet 3 and it says to send back DS230 immediately. Do they mean with the rest of the forms with packet 3, or earlier then the rest of the documents? My police check and medical wont be ready till later this week.

Thanks

Jodie

My Fiance submitted his Packet 3 to the US Consulate in Sydney 1 1/2 weeks ago. I'm just curious how long it will take until the actual date the interview is scheduled. Anyone who has recently gone through this process lately? Wait is the duration b/w sending in Packet 3 and having interview?? VJ says 68 days.... but I think that is longer than average.

Trying to tie the knot on Aug 14th!!!

Hi Aussies!

I have my NOA1 - dated May 22nd, but we didn't know we had it until yesterday (Jesse forgot to tell him mum to call him when she got the letter, so she'd just been hanging on to it) :)

So now we wait... VJ says we should be adjudicated around the end of September. I was thinking about getting Jesse's I-134 while I'm there at the end of August to save him sending it over, do you think it will matter if it's dated that long before the interview?

July 2007 - met Jesse at a beach party held by mutual friends in Long Island, NY

May 2008 - J-1 visa expired, had to move back to Australia

July 2008-September 2008 - lived with Jesse for three months in Staten Island, NY

March 2009 - Jesse comes to Australia for 3 weeks

April 2009 - Engaged!

05/20/09 - I-129F petition mailed in

05/22/09 - NOA1!

05/25/09 - touch

09/09/09 - NOA2!

10/01/09 - due to fiance's illness, we are abandoning pursuit of K-1 at this point. Packet 3 received from consulate but won't be returned.

about waiting for the interview to be scheduled- we emailed sydney because we had to mail our med stuff seperately after it got left out of our pack 3. anyway, we got this response. they said it could be up to 30 working days (6 weeks!). I doubt it'll take this long though... surely...

Thank you for your inquiry. Our records indicate we received your documentation as well as the medical report. Your documents are currently under review. The review process may take up to 30 working days.

Once the review is complete, you will receive an appointment confirmation letter as well as a checklist for your final interview.

Regards,

Sydney IV

The review process may take up to 30 working days.

They must be at a busy time of year again. Last July they gave me an estimate of 14 working days but lately I've been seeing about 3 weeks is standard

Congrats on getting your interview notice though!
