Oooo I have a question too... The SS-5 form says in the instructions for the question about your reason for needing a ss number that if you mark the box "non-immigrant, not allowed to work" that I need to provide proof that I need a number. Will my k1 visa and I-94 be enough for them?

cheers.... just did some flight pricings, and if all goes well and we get our package this week, i will be flying to seoul South Korea then to Atlanta then to Charlotte... cheapest way... with korean air and then delta being the last plane! so yeh should be goood! hopefully! just worried when they said in that email they are waiting for "Generally, it will take 5 business day days to print your visa and prepare your document package once the required documents are received in our office" the required documents i hope is meaning we dont have to send anything else in! so if it got approved on wed or thurs last week, i should have it by around wed or thurs this week hey??

Wooohoo you'll be fine mate, I guess if they wanted anything else they would send you a letter or email, that express post bag is only for them to return your passport, visa and the sealled envelope ( don't open it!!!)

Just an update... i got approved on the tuesday!! was nervous opening that envelope! quit me job haha Flights are booked for the 5th... flying to Seoul then to atlanta and then to Charlotte! very excited! cant wait!!

haha oh if i knew you were waiting so long i would of posted earlier! haha nah i totally forgot about posting here... i have had so much running around to do to try and sort everything out before i go, its crazy but i think its all sorted now! man i am pumped.. i havent been this happy for a lonnnng time!! haha

I was just so WIRED when it was finally "the day". I was living with my parents until I left and I didn't really cry or anything even though mum did.. I hope she wasn't upset that I didn't seem super upset. I was just so worried about forgetting something I needed! and so nervous at the same time!

So, couple of notes:

- Don't forget to pack your brown/yellow envelope on your on-board luggage (laptop bag or whatever). The x-ray isn't needed but take it for your medical history in the US

- I was asked for the street address of Tony (which was very hard to remember because it was all numbers and the girl at check-in when I showed the K1 actually was a little suss that I didn't know it off the top of my head.. until I told her the address and then she understood ) so make sure you have that address on hand if you don't remember it

- something to eat on the flight, and buy a bottle of water once you're through security. I took Milky ways and minties. Really helped take the edge off to be able to snack when I was hungry, and drink when thirsty.

- and finally... CHOCOLATE!! OMG if you have room ship some candy or chocolate or something.. guarantee there will be a day you miss something

Oh and last time I flew from US to Aus I took some dramamine which is for travel sickness. I didn't realise that I even HAD travel sickness and that that was that feeling that was stopping me from sleeping on the flight but that trip back home just flew by (pun intended )

Im filling out the DS-230 form and got a few questions for you guys,

would appreciate the help

1. Question#13 Contact numbers: Home or Office.

I only have a mobile. Can i put my parents home #?

2. Question#22 In what occupation do you intend to work in the United States?

I dont know excatly as I dont have work lined up, do I leave it blank or N/A or none? Or the industry im in now?

3. Question#23 all educational institutions attended....

Do I just add my High School if thats all that was attended? And Course Study Left blank? cause it was high school?
