In the k-1 section, there is a posting about a "letter to certify pregnancy"... and since my fiancee in the US is 5 months pregnant, it piqued my interest. (Even though the original post was a bit strange)

Then I saw Kiwibird posted this:

Previous posters are correct. All USCIS cares about is if you get married. Whether she's having your baby or not... they don't care. Might be a different story when it gets to the Consulate level... but for the I-129F petition, the pregnancy part is worthless.

Originaly, I was hoping the fact she is pregnant would either be something to help our case, or at the worst, they simply wouldn't care. Now I'm not so sure, am stressing that it may go against us... can anyone confirm either way?

I dont see how it can go against you. The point of my post is that it might be able to be used as evidence of a continued relationship at the Consulate level. However, is pregnancy has no bearing at all on a I-129F petition at USCIS.

They honestly don't care whether she's pregnant or not. It doesn't go for you or against you.

Obviously they WILL care if she's pregnant and it doesn't correlate with evidence of you having been in the country but otherwise they won't care.

You know how you log in to check case status and the first page lists your case number (before you click on the case number that gives you more details) and also lists a date and status. If the DATE has changed then your file has been touched.

GAHHHHHH!!!! My fiance and his father put the wrong 'city' as my address on the i-134's which I received today. It's still the city I live in, but is a different post code to the actual suburb I live in - not to mention different to all other forms I have filled. SOOOOOOOOO frustrating!!! lol

Im really hoping it's not going to matter - do you think this is going to be a problem???

I'm guessing it's something like they wrote "Melbourne" but you live in Clayton or something.. like I did. Now it's not a huge deal I wouldn't think except it MIGHT look odd that your fiance doesn't know where you live :S SO if I were you I would get him to email you the form and change the front page and re-print it. There's no signature on the first page. The reason i would do that rather than downloading the form from USCIS is just in case he used an older version of the form or something. Just for uniformity. The MAIN issue might be we print on A4 paper, they do "letter" sized.. so unless you have letter sized paper this might not be a good idea.

The OTHER option is to either white-out or cross out the postcode and change it. The good thing about the I-134 is it isn't legally binding so it's not a huge deal. You have a few options though so in short those were:

1. Print the first page again (need letter sized paper to get it to work)

2. Get your FIANCE to print the front page again for himself and his dad so it's letter sized and mail it to you

3. White-out or cross-out the post-code yourself and change it

4. Ignore it and see what happens

Great! thank you! I just could not understand why he put another city altogether - I mean, granted it's only down the road but he had my g325 form with all that info on it haha. K just had to vent lol. Not sure what I will do... Officeworks don't even sell letter sized paper... Might just ignore it and see how we go - I'm thinking they won't be interested in anything other than the second page income amts. oh well.

His father also put 'New South Whales' but that is another story lol.

Hey

Just curious, how long does it take once you get your NOA2 to get to the interview stage all up? roughly?

Well it depends on you a fair bit.

NOA2 to Packet 3 took 2 weeks for me. Then if you return P3 immediately P4 might take around a week and then the interview would be 2-3 weeks from P4.

My P3 was returned about a week later and I got P4 immediately. others have returned P3 immediately and taken a week to get P4. My interview was 3 weeks from P4, others that returned immediately were 2 weeks.

I would guess what Carebear said around 2 months. Do NOT book your flights though because things can always change.

Well... NZ Police check isn't back yet. It was received by the Consulate on March 11th. However, both the NZ Police HQ and Ministry of Justice have both confirmed there is no police check for anyone with his last name. At all.

Emails to the Consulate are met with "our procedures are different and we operate through the US Embassy Auckland." That's it.

Is it supposed to take a month? :(
