I got approved on tuesday!! woohoo! Just wanted to share Thanks for all your help guys.

Just wondering what happens from here?... I have my medical and police report already - SO is sending over the affadavit. I've read that I should call the NVC but I don't see a reason why? Is there something I am missing?

Also any idea how long interviews are taking nowadays? xxxxxxx

I personally didn't call NVC. I didn't see the point. I just waited and it took 2 weeks. Gave me time to make sure the P3 stuff was in an envelope and ready to go (not sealed though in case they ask for something new)

oops, just to add so i don't sound like a complete n00b.

I know that I will just have to wait for packet 3 now but is there anything I can do make this last part move along any quicker?

What is included in packet 4 then? Is it just the interview date?

Yes you can send the DS-230 and the P3 info back at the same time. P4 is just the interview date and also a checklist. It mentions what you need to bring to interview but unless you've forgotten something at the very least it will be an 3kg express post envelope (to post your passport with visa and brown envelope back), visa interview fee receipt (this you pay at Aus post and the receipt is tiny so put it somewhere REALLY safe) and of course your passport.

Good luck and congrats!! I predict you'll have visa in hand in 2 months (max) given your NOA2 date and knowing you basically have everything read to go for P3

Hi guys I am going through the checklist that is page 7 of form DSL-1076 and am confused about some thing... The form asks for the following:

Medical records – originals only

is this a) my entire medical history from all the doctors i have ever been to? or b) just the medical records that pertain to my medical examination with Dr. Millar????

Max is arriving on Friday!!! Wedding is all planned and paid for for the 14th. Family members are chipping and paying for the green card as Max's wedding gift so we are literally just cruising. Love it after all the stress of the last 8 months!

Congrats!! The greencard stuff isn't as hard as people make it seem. There's an AOS thread in my signature that should help. Don't forget the SSN 10 days after he arrives (can do it after that but needs to have at LEAST 2 weeks left on the I-94).

Most of all though, I hope you have a fabulous wedding and fabulous life together.

Approved!!! Well, approved pending clear police checks. Which, they will be clear. They are supposed to be due today... so I think he is going to try to call to check in on them.

He also has to send the Consulate his passport.. He was supposed to leave it there today, but he is planning a trip to New Zealand this month. He is giving a month's notice at work tomorrow.. so his trip to NZ will be completed before he flies over here. I'm a bit nervous about sending his passport to the Consulate... like, what if he doesn't get it back before his planned trip?

But yeah... approved!!

LOL Kiwi - in terms of timing I had my interview on the Tuesday, the NZ Police Check arrived back on the Friday and I received the visa and passport back a week later

Well done love that's great news re approval!!
