Got my packet 4 this afternoon with an interview scheduled for the 21st of this month.

Aside from the items the consulate has instructed me to bring (prepaid express post satchel, receipt of application payment & passport), what else do I need to bring?

bring the packet you all sent to the uscis ( they more and likely won't ask you for evidence BUT bring it!!) bring the letter they sent you with your interview date so you can present that to the guards or you dont get in.

OH and breath...dont be like us...its EASY peasy and they were super nice there!

wedding is set for the 25th of April and we are also going to have a moment of silence there for anzac day and explain the story as well.

Too bad you didnt purchase your flights by the 6th April...flights were super cheap (eg, syd - lax $894 r/t) but you may be able to find some more airlines that are on sale.

I bought my ticket to fly out of here Oct 31st from Syd to NYC - $1800 r/t incl taxes..usually its $2800!

Arrrrgh, I am ready to drop, Im waiting for mum and her husband to come pick up the last of my stuff ... tomorrow Ill have to finish cleaning and hand in the keys.... this morning it hit me 7 days and I felt like being sick!!!

I dont know if I mentioned it but Shay rented a house a street away .... Shays mum lives with him and the little house is just way to small for 3 adults ... Shays looked at several houses the last few months but hadnt found anything suitable .... last week da mummy was going to give to move out of the master bedroom and give it to us because the small room is to small for 2 but we felt really bad about taking her room and Shay heard about another house that was available and he went and saw it ... Initially he wasnt going to rent it till I saw it but honestly it was 2 good to pass up!

Its still a 2 bedroom but the rooms are bigger, they both have walk in wardrobs where the old house had limited wardrobe space ... this one has a coat closet, a bathroom linen cupboard and the dinning room has floor to ceiling cabinets ... not to mention a seperate garage, green house, fenced in yard for the dogs ... front veranda and back deck... the only negative in our opinion was the lime green carpeting, but thats why god invented rugs

So my poor buby is busy moving and trying to finish before I get there ... welll he wont finish everything but least the furniture will be in and the kitchen and bedrooms will be done...

HOW EXCITING!! I cant wait for us to actually start looking for our place to move to in October..we still have a while to go and it can be pretty stressful but its all part of the fun

Thanks, will do. I'm guessing photos and other things (such as an engagement ring receipt) are good ideas, too? Now, to dig out the original packet...

Congratulations on getting your visa ... we got our ticket for $730 inc flight insurance which was either $40 or 50 but it was worth it since they were none refundable tickets and it covers a few other things too ...

Anyway Im off guys .. Ill see you all in a week and half ... Take care and try not to stress to much ... there is an internet cafe near mums so Ill try to go there and post if I have a chance ...

1 Question , do we organize my 2 passport style pictures for the Application and attach them to it,

Or do we do it when they do the Biometrics?

Congrats to one and all who's Visa's have come through

And to those who are still waiting .. believe me the wait is more than worth it

Paul, when i filed my removal of conditions last year i attached the two passport photos to the application.

When they sent me the letter for biometrics they took my photo at their office, thats a standard thing they do.

he was told not to pick it up they would mail it...THEN they had him get the wrong parcel LOL CALLED him the next day said can you pick it up SO he has the visa IN HAND now

I've been bussy wedding planing... we picked the cake this tuesdday with mom, when matt comes we will pick the flavors.. LOL couldn't do it without him of course!!

We originally planned a large wedding in the hamptons in NY which we paid the deposit for April 25th, 2010 however our plans have changed since we'll be having a baby in August. So now we're just going to have a civil wedding and go on a weekend away to a nice secluded retreat...next year when we're all settled then we'll continue with the major wedding. We were able to change our dates without losing the deposit which was good...Its just too bad that we couldnt stick with the original plans since almost everything was set down to the monogram!

its lemon lime poppyseed MMM its AWESOME! our colors are royal blue and lilac we wont have a honeymoon for a few months but staying in a cabin for overnight and i get 5 days OFF! so just finding stuff to do ALONEEEEEEEEEEEEE

I know what ours is going to look like, we picked the design and everything, like I said we are just waiting for Matty for the flavors.. I tried their signature flavor, vanilla rum, it was very yummy... We are allowed to pick different flavors for each tier, so we will see what we pick! I think everyone on the visa process will honeymoon inside the states, obviously! We are going to the Carolinas, the mountains, Matt loves all that stuff and I've never seen mountains in my life! Florida as flat as you get so I am exicited about it!
