Hey Aussie people.... take note of the exchange rate... we might actually see price parity... that is, $1 Aussie dollar buying $1 US dollar... For those with Aussie currency moving to the US, now is a really good time to do your transfer. I'm gonna be sending my hubby my savings asap to take advantage of the exchange rate.

I just did a bank transfer online last night and got 0.9564, Mum had told me the rate on the news was 98.4!! Having worked in a bank for 21 years i know the published rate on the news and in the papers is never what you get at the bank so i consider nearly 96 cents in the dollar a miracle so transferred some more money over LOL..My bank allows international transfers of up to $10,000 a day. Hopefully the rate will go a little higher and stabalize a bit.

It snowed one afternoon when I was over this past March - went to an ice hockey game, came out and it was snowing!!! I'm too precious for snow lmao

The in laws are in Prescott, AZ so its a 10 day trip planned with driving taking up 4 days of that (2 each way) - looking forward to seeing something new

It is! It's great. It's going towards my new car over there stateside.

I wonder if anyone has the list of vaccinations they needed laying around? I know I've had them all, but I want to make sure I have a written record of all the relevant ones to take to the visa-doctor. If you could share the list with me that'd be really helpful. I got a list from the NVC website, but most of the things on there aren't relevant to me such as Polio and so on.

Hey We didnt file a note from the bank official with the I-134 affidavit and we were approved just fine. We file the I-134, letter from his employer confirming employment and salary, 3 years of tax transcripts and the last 6 pay stubs from his work.

I don't think I have a copy online but it basically said what the instructions asked for:

"Name: Tony (full name)

Account opened: XXXX

Amount deposited from XXX to XXX: $XXXX"

The amount deposited was calculated from the month the letter was dated and back a year.

We had no RFE's just submitting what the instructions asked for. Bank letter and employment letter. No tax returns or pay stubs.

Snow is great fun to drive in Carey & Terri! Just go find a huge carpark (this is the USA after all, they're really not uncommon) and let loose and get used to it

I've got one more thing on my list to check off and that is my CO Drivers Licence, which I'm planning on trying to get this week... although I'm just not sure if I'm solid enough to take a test hahah!

Temps have really started dropping, and they've already been having snow showers up in the mountains, so it's getting just that little bit more exciting for me as every day passes... I'm REALLY looking forward to getting up there on my board and lazing away a season on the snow

I've attached a pic of the vaccination copy that they gave me from my medical (with my details and dates/sigs). Mine was fairly easy because I actually was given half the vaccinations by the Brisbane Clinic for my first attempt at entering the USA. So they were all on file AND I still had my paperwork from last time. But at least this should give you some more insight into what *might* be required.

I'm enjoying the USA... starting to get my mind into applying for jobs... I'm not going to be able to live like a bum for too much longer.... hahahahah!

Hi Bex, Thanks, that's really helpful... that sheet looks mighty familiar. I've misplaced all the old documents from the first time I went to the US. I know I've had all the injections necessary, I just need to know I have enough documentation to prove it. I think the blood test records I ordered cover everything... I think I got a Hep injection on the day of my first visa-doctor exam though, I hope they don't decide to poke me again. From your sheet it looks like the hep immunity is no longer relevant.

Hey ladies - Do they want us to have the Human papillomavirus injection? That's a new one since I immigrated the first time. At any rate, I've had it, so I should chase up the "proof".
