Still no joy. People aren't even making offers on it... it's now listed for $7k...

I have a few people that have offered to help me with it if it doesn't sell before I go... I don't know how comfortable I feel with that though haha... ah well...

LOL no its probably not going to help matters :P Im trying to remember what my letter from the doctor said and as far as I recall it was bring your passport, 3 photos oh and the letter from NVC which has our case file number on it. Maybe that's what his doctor is referring to?

OK I will tell him that, right now he is convinced that there is no way this can be done in 4 months time. I just told him to take a deep breath and then it will all be over. I have already sent a copy of the email that we got with the case number and the emails. He is calling today to clarify.

Me myself I am a little concerned about the affavidavit of support, I had to close and then re-open my account so I don't have a year of statements, and I didn't file taxes last year cause of unemployment. I know I make enough for the two of us, but will a letter from my employer, bank statements and paystubs be enough?

It can be done in 4 months time - my NOA2 was 14 July and my interview is tomorrow. The Australian police certificate only took 8 days to arrive and the medical results were one week after the testing and that was one week after booking...baby steps :)

As for the affidavit we didnt provide bank statements at all - 3 x years tax returns, a letter form his employer and the paystubs. Im not sure if non filing of taxes last year will be an issue though - one of the others will have to answer that one.

That figure was worst case scenario too... I think it's actually a little cheaper because 2 of the boxes are lighter than I thought they were going to be :)

:) Thanks. I have been trying to get him to join this site, but playing our game is the most that he will do with a computer. Yea the tax thing will be rough, I just got a full time job this year, before that I was a stay at home mom, so all the tax returns were just my ex's income. Hopefully we just get a nice person that will be ok with a letter from my HR person and paystubs.

Well, He has got his medical booked and police check booked this week....pheeew. The lady at the physcians office talked to him and told him it could all be done. So now he is calm again. As for me...I have got a letter for my HR person to sign, all my paystubs and now just wondering about the taxes. I looked back and I can provide 3 yrs of taxes but they are filed with my ex. I am wondering if that would be an issue at all. Our divorce wasn't final until this year. Other then that all is good and everything seems to be movin along

Back from Sydney. Approved BUT they wouldnt accept the criminal clearance I provided by the New Zealand Ministry of Justice. So pending the arrival of the clearance by the New Zealand Police then the visa will be put in my passport and sent back.

You should have seen my face drop when she gave me the refusal worksheet piece of paper :( until she explained it was approved but pending the police check.

Hi all,

Just a fly in visit to let you all know that we haven't heard a peep out of USCIS since NOA1 on April 2nd. We filed 5 months ago and still haven't overcome the first hurdle. It's... upsetting.

Hubby is now making plans to fly out here for Christmas. Not what we'd hoped for but what can you do?

Best of luck to you Bex, and I hope your car sells in time. :)

Good luck for your interview CareBear :)

Cheers,

Jess

Ohhhhhhhhh am sorry to hear you have a hold up over the NZ Police Clearance, but hopefully it will be sent and you will get full approval asap.. we have a hold up here submitting my AOS, Leonard put his folder with all the original documents in one of the boxes being shipped over here as he wanted to give me more room in one of his suitcases for the flight over, i kept my lever arch folder thinking i had copies of everything, have prepared my AOS, EAD and AP before we went on our honeymoon, only to find i didnt have a copy of the NOA2 approval it's in Leonard's folder, packed in a shipping box in storeage in Brisbane, as we are still waiting for Movements International to get someone else to fill the container before they ship it stateside, so we rang Vermont Service Centre only to be told we had to send in and I-864 request for copy of approved document plus a cheque for $340 i was like your kidding? You cant print one off and post it? Nope you have to submit for a copy,so sent that off two weeks ago before we left on our honeymoon, got home Saturday and found a receipt from Vermont now waiting on the replacement NOA2 before we can submit the rest of our documents.. I know its our fault, had i known Leonard put it in one of the shipping boxes i wouldve yanked it out and stuffed it in my suitcase, but it wasnt until i was packing that i found out and by that time it was way too late.. sigh..

Jess keep your chin up, i know how it feels, but its worth it in the long run, it took us ages as we had to ask for two extensions due to my Dads health but the wait is worth it, just keep copies of everything, take tons of photos of being together and just treasure the time together, the wheels of immigration move oh so slowly, i would take this time to get your packet three documents ready so you have your ducks all in a row, cause once u get NOA2 it will all start to happen fairly quickly.. Police Check is good for 12 months, i would go to your local GP and get and immune blood work done to work out what innoculations you have had (that is if u dont have an innoculation book listing all your shots u had at school etc) this is something i never had as we just got them at school and no record was ever kept.. so my Doctor did an immune panel of blood work showing what i was immune too, ie measles, german measles, chicken pox, mumps, the full range of this came in handy at my US Medical as i showed the print outs my doctor had given me to the approved medical examiner in Brisbane and he put it on my vacination documentation worksheet, saved a bunch of time as i had proof of what i was and was not immune too.

Keep the faith it will happen and then it will all snowball and start to happen really quickly so pays to be prepared here is a link that may help.. From Vanessa and Tony i have used it endlessly and its been a real help not to mention relieving my stress levels
