Grrrrrrr......current frustration. Trying to find a doctor that is willing to transfer the DS-3025 to the I-693 is ridiculous. They seem to want to have Ham go through the whole physical again saying that they don't trust the data that was provided on the DS-3025. Ummmm.....the DS-3025 was provided by a US approved surgeon just like you.

So we might be stuck paying another 300 and having Ham go through another physical because people want to cheat us out of as much money as possible.

Thanks for everyone's help! Got our Packet 3 via email today! Not complaining, but this is all happening so fast! Only had 40 days between NOA1 and NOA2 and 15 days between NOA2 and Packet 3! I'm glad I'm in Oz to help my fiance out with everything (he's technologically challenged...), but since we were expecting a 6 month process, I think he still won't be able to make it to New Orleans until December because of commitments at home. Boo, but if I'm good at anything, it's waiting to be with my man...

Was Ham's DS-3025 completed by the panel physician? I saved the money and didn't bother getting mine transcribed to the I-693 by a civil surgeon because all my vaccinations were complete by the panel physician. I sent a copy of the DS-3025 with my package and had no problems. If you really need to get it transcribed, I'd keep calling around until you finally find a civil surgeon that will do it. They are trying to rip you off (bastards!) When I called around in my area they were charging around $30-$80. There was only one that said I'd need to do the whole physical.

Got our approved NOA2 Aug 3rd. We are soooo happy, that wait was so terrible. So now that the excitement has calmed down. What things should I be sending my man. I am sending him a copy of everything I sent in the intial application, but I am not sure what else. I want to make sure he has what he needs from me to get this going. Also, he doesn't have his shot record, so should he or can he go to his normal doctor to get all his shots updated or should he just do it all at the medical? So excited YAY.

Heya You're just a couple of weeks behind me My K1 NOA2 was July 13 and I returned packet 3 to Sydney yesterday, just waiting for an interview date now Congratulations to you.

Okay re vaccinations - I didnt have my childhood vaccine records either so get your partner to go to his local GP and get a blood test to prove immunity. They then provide a letter confirming what he has immunity for and he takes this with him to his medical.

With regards to what to send him now, you need to send your original signed affidavit of support and supporting documents as he will need to return these as part of the packet 3 return. The rest of the documents he returns are supplied by himself.

Okay sent the first packet 3 form off asap last week. Sent the balance of packet 3 on Wednesday of this week. Tonight in my email I get this..

Thank you for sending the DS230 to our office which we received on August 02, 2010.

Question 30 indicates that you have lived in more than one country for periods of six months or more since reaching the age of sixteen.

You are, therefore, required to obtain a police certificate from New Zealand (along with the Australian Police Certificate). Please find the attached instructions for obtaining this police certificate.

Now I did obtain one of these directly from the Ministry of Justice in New Zealand and included it in my 2nd envelope. I'm assuming at this stage they haven't gotten to that yet so havent seen it. I replied and said as much (nicely despite the fact I have had a very feral day). However in reading through the New Zealand VJ forum thread people there have stated that the US Consulate in NZ wont accept one you've obtained yourself. So dilema - do I wait and see what the Oz US Consulate says after they've put all my stuff together? Or should I fill in the attached form and send it back to them just in case?

So Ham's going in for his I-693 today. We found a doc who would transfer the info for 130 which is the cheapest we found without him having to do a physical.

Had to get the I-693 because the doc before marked his DS-3025 as incomplete. Which it was since he didn't have his shot record from when he was a kid.

As for Alex and I....we leave to take out long awaited honeymoon in a few days! A week in Cabo San Lucas, yay! Only three more days of work for the both of us and off we jet. This will be the first time that I use my green card too.....a very momentous occasion for a newly minted immigrant, hahahaha, Our six months married is next week too
