I assume you mean 5th Nov, not 11th May :D It honestly shouldn't be too much longer till he gets the lovely email telling him his interview date and that he has to pay the immigrant visa fee etc. Very exciting :D

Don't worry about the petition expiration (again I assume you mean 2nd December, not 12th Feb) because it's automatically extended if something is going on with your case. I never once even thought about expiration dates. Only since coming to VJ did I find out that people freak out about it... The expiration dates are if you don't reply, or your case doesn't move along.

Good luck for the wedding and congratulations!!

Thank you so much!! Yea I am a yank so I meant nov 5 and dec 2 lol. I guess its gonna take Dale awhile to switch to thinking like that. I didn't know that either, I thought that no matter what it all had to be done by that date. That takes a little pressure off. Thanks :-)

So excited for you!!!

He wants to be here before Christmas, if all goes smoothly (crossing my fingers) he should be. So very happy. I emailed them to check status and they replied saying it wasn't yet reviewed, about 3 hrs later we got an email telling us of his interview time.

gday fellow aussies!!

i have a couple of quick questions to ask those of us that have been through all this before.

im at the stage where im waiting for my packet 3. i received my medical results today aswell as a seperate large envelope that is from the xray bloke.

the medical results were in an express post envelope addressed to me, and inside that was an envelope addressed to the Sydney embassy, was it ok that i opened the first envelope? and should i leave the one addressed to the embassy unopened? also my xray that came seperately was addressed to me, was it ok that i opened that? and do i need to send the xray to the embassy along with my medical results when i reply to packet 3?

sorry about all the questions, slightly stressing here a little, its getting so close i hope i havnt stuffed anything up.

thanks all!

Brad.

No no totally fine :) You open the express post envelope to get your medical envelope out (and do not open that) and the x-ray you keep for your medical records. When you receive P3 they will ask for the medical (among other things) so you send that envelope marked for the Sydney consulate.

Have you organised your police check yet?

**Edit - don't forget there's a K1 NOA2-interview date thread in my signature.

No problem :) So do you know what usually comes with P3? You know what you're supposed to send?

Here's a link in case you don't: http://www.visajourney.com/forums/topic/206016-australian-beneficiaries-packet-3-to-interview-date/page__view__findpost__p__3116457

You're supposed to send the DS-230 immediately but if you have the rest of the docs ready to go as well, you can send that WITH all the rest of the docs.
