Yeah, I can echo the recommendation to get organised in advance. I had booked my medical before we received NOA2 (as it turns out, I booked it the same day NOA2 was issued, but I didn't know that at the time), and I am still waiting for the medical report to come through. I have had packet 3 for 3 weeks now, and everything else is all ready to go, but just have to wait for the medical, which is frustrating. So getting organised early, is a good idea :)

Yep :) Have you had a look at the K1 thread in my signature? It will help him with what he needs to do once NOA2 arrives. it's all go-go-go once you receive NOA2. Depending on the state (SA given adelaide) how long his police cert will take might be a factor meaning he should get started sooner than NOA2 receipt, or how long the doctors waiting list is to get the medical done. Also getting his immunisation list together, or a blood titre from the doc if he doesn't know his immunities (hopefully he has a baby immunisation records at the ... ####### can't think of it right now but his mum'll know (or almost any new mum)).

If he's ever been married before he'll need to locate that stuff, and he can get started on all the forms. I believe Terri had all her stuff ready to go when she received P3, she sent it either the same or next day and had her interview booked really soon after that (check out her timeline :D). He might also want to look at the hotel list some people mentioned (there's a search function at the bottom of each thread to search within a thread) so he can stay the night (I do NOT recommend a same day flight as the interview :S)... all this is good so he can start saving the money (or put it aside) because he knows what he'll need to spend.

Best of luck and congrats on starting the journey :D

Yea we will have to ask his mum if she has his imunization records, if she doesn't...what all does he need to get up to date on? Should I tell him now to go get his police report? He's not gonna be happy about the Sydney thing so I will do the research and then give it all to him lol. I will check out the threads to see what stuff I need to fill out and send to him. You guys rock :-) thank you for your help!

Congrats Bextavaz you finally have that date in hand yay :)

Isolde my mum no longer had my childhood immunisation records. So I went to my local GP, she gave me a form to have a blood test and that confirm what vacinnations I had immunity for. She confirmed this in a letter ready for the medical side of things - easy fix :)

With regards to the police certificate they can take up to 28 days to come through. Im expecting my NOA2 in the next month so have ordered it this past week so I'll have it ready and waiting at packet 3 time. My NZ police check took 6 weeks to come through so ordered that one a little earlier :)

Good luck with everything :)

The police certificate is odd. Went to the police station, paid $158 for police check including fingerprints and had to wait 45 minutes to get fingerprinted. Nothing like watching your hands smeared with black ink to get a sense of surealness lol.

So cute you met playing WoW. I met Ted playing Mafia Wars on Facebook :) Lordy bless the internet :)

My fingerprints took 1.5hrs...

First they were confused as anything because they already had noted on my file that they had fingerprints already, and then none of them had a clue about how to complete a set of prints for someone who hadn't committed an offence...

several times they asked me if I would go outside and commit an offence as it would be easier to take my prints...

Yep another WoW couple here!!

Here: http://www.cdc.gov/mmwr/PDF/wk/mm5901-Immunization.pdf page 2 (top table) has a table for immunisations. You only NEED the yellow ones (if you're in the age bracket for the yellow). The purples etc are if you have a risk factor for it, which is described in the second table.

My fiance and I met in person as well, but I just love how the internet has become a place for people to meet and fall in love. It really allows people to interact with others that they may never have had the opprotunity to meet in real life. I believe in soul mates, and wonder just how many people settle for good enough, because their soul mate lives halfway across the world...

Currently, I am hopefully optimistic because the VCS has been sending their overflow to Texas, where my check was cashed. The TX center has been churning out NOA2s in a month's time. One filer from May got their NOA2 in 30 days, and another from early June only took 21 days.:wow: The June filer got her NOA1 two days before me, so maybe I'm next?!? Fingers crossed!!! I'm currently in Australia, and wouldn't it be great if I could be here to help my fiance with his end of the paperwork, etc. I'm probably jinxing myself by talking about it... Watch me get a big, bad RFE now. At least I'll have sweet dreams tonight imagining my honey in New Orleans by Halloween!!! :D
