Do they want to see evidence that you were an actual couple, or just that you were communicating? Because you were obviously communicating via email and stuff during that time. Are there any other photos you can find? It doesn't matter if they aren't date stamped, none of mine were, you just explain when and where. Or some affidavits from friends and family saying that you guys got back together at the end of 2008? Maybe if Ham explains in an affidavit also that he made an honest mistake and explains that you both have a long history together, which also included some time apart, they will get it. Good luck!

Oh, my freaking goodness!!!! We got the visa. The pictures and the email that I sent in last night were enough proof for them to approve the visa. I can't believe that four pictures and one email where I asked Ham for his mailing address was enough proof for them to give us the visa when I sent massive amounts of pics, emails, IM's and phone logs with the original packet.

I don't care though at this point. We got the visa and I'm happy. I absolutely love how the Sydney consulate will accept data through email instead of everything being through post.

Though.....I am still slightly nervous that they have our case confused with someone else. Both me and Ham aren't resting easy until he has his visa in hand.

CONGRATULATIONS!!

Maybe it was the fact that YOU sent in the information? Kinda like confirming that you have this evidence as well 'cause you're a legit couple?? Oh well though right? Who cares 'cause you GOT THE VISA! I'm very excited for the both of you.

I look forward to reading VISA IN HAND in one of your next posts!! :D

That's what Ham thought too. And possibly the fact that two hours after his interview is when I started submitting the evidence. So it showed that we were in constant communication and both really involved.

Average is two days to Visa in Hand after approval but since everything we've had so far has taken a bit I'm not expecting it until at least Monday. :P

Hey Ness,

Yeah this computer problem has been a royal pain in the rear, so I bought another laptop yesterday and sent the one that died in for repair, luckily it still has a year warranty left on it.

It has gone super super fast eh LOL. We haven't done bubs US Passport etc yet. He has all the documents, he was waiting on his birth certificate, which finally came a few weeks ago but I told him not to send it and I'd bring it back with me when we come home in July. I wouldn't have been able to get an interview until mid May and probably wouldn't be home here to receive it in the mail, so I thought I'd just wait.

Still having lots of dramas with Lachy's father. He sent me an email a few weeks ago, saying he would do the stat dec for me if we could make a private arrangement for Lachy. The Lawyer emailed me yesterday, telling me he's had no response and has sent the email to him again. I think Lachy's father is dragging this out as long as possible, but I don't think he realises that the longer he draws it out, the larger his child support debt is becoming lol.

And you know, those letters from the lawyer will serve as good proof that you're trying to get the father to respond! So it'll make your court case thingy about custody that much easier. He's such a moron!

Oh yeah definitely! I have a good case already, so this will just make it look even better :) I could think of a worse word to call him but I will close my mouth LOL.
