Oopsie. "DontWhateverMe" I meant :S Sorry! I just saw the reply to "thanks Kaffy".. oopsie. Sorry again :D

Yes, that was me. That is the list I am using as it is the one that is issued by the CDC. The HPV doesn't apply to me so not really concerned about that. My GP already knew that Zoster would not be needed.

One other thing: the panel physician in Brisbane would not give me a copy of the list for required vaccinations. Which I found odd because they will accept the titre testing as evidence.

Thanks guys, will check out those links later Vanessa :) By the way, LOVED your step by step detailed thread on your journey, I have it saved to my favourites, so I will refer to that as I go through my steps to see that we're on the same page lol.

I went and got passport photos for myself and my baby today, as I have to renew my Aussie passport asap, it runs out this July. I thought I might as well get bubs US passport pics and mine for the K1 while I was at it ... my appearance wont change dramatically in the next 5 months before we file for K1.

I can't believe the prices some of these places charge! One place wanted $20 for a set of US size pics and $17 for a set of Aussie size pics! I ended up going to Teds and got 6 sets for $40 ... she doubled up on bubs pics because there were 2 shots and she wasn't 100% sure if the US consulate are as lenient with baby photos, as it's really hard to get the perfect pic because they don't keep still. They look ok to me though, but better to be safe than sorry.

I called the Family Court this morning, regarding my 8 year old and getting permission for his K2 ... they are sending me a form that I file with $155 (always some bloody cost lol) and there's other stuff I need to do, like Mediation, but because I don't know where my ex is, he said they will most likely wave the Mediation. He said after all the rigmarole, I'll be given a Federal Court date and the Judge will make a decision.

I'm feeling pretty confident, so I will get this form lodged this week and hopefully it will get the ball rolling :).

Yay it's all progressing really well for you!! Aww bubs first passport! Good luck on the court stuff. In the grand scheme $155 isn't that bad (still ######, but could be worse) to get a piece of paper to start the rest of a wonderful life :D And "officially" be rid of the ex. Woot!

The "extra" pics can always be sent to family and friends :D or scan them even to get more to hand out :)

I had a "last" pic with mum and dad before i left Australia. It's AWFUL! Mum's all red-eyed and teary. We woke dad (it was EARLY!) so he just looked confused and in his PJ's with his hair everywhere, and I look so fat and "blotchy". ugh. Can't delete it though I just won't EVER hand that out :P I'll get a new family pic when we visit hopefully later in the year. My purpose for mentioning that... ideas to make sure people take pics of you with family and friends before you leave, but at least get the chance to be AWAKE fully :P

Hey Vanessa :)

Yeah it is, so far so good! I just hope the Judge is nice and appreciates my situation. Yeah $155 isn't too much, it's all starting to add up though, as I have about $180 for getting bubs US stuff sorted and then another $300'ish for his Aussie passport and my passport renewal lol. It's all worth it though and it will be all out of the way soon!

That's so funny about your last pic ... a moment you guys will never forget ♥

Jamie I am so glad that FLC was able to help you with the issue regarding your ex...I am amazed that you are as organised for the process ahead as I am now...even amidst this nightmare that is going on around me at present.

Lots more packing to be done..half day at the hospital tomorrow so I can get it done...I detest packing LOL.

Thanks Terri :) I just hope the Court process goes smoothly and I get the ok AND that it doesn't take too long ... I'm staying positive!!

I'm not sure if I'm as organised as you lol but I'm getting there! I even went through my Yahoo chat logs tonight and printed a few out. We mainly voiced through Yahoo so there isn't too much email contact unfortunately and no phone records. I'm sure we'll have enough evidence without those anyhoo. I have to go for my 6 week post natal check up next week, so I'm going to organise the blood test while I'm there.

I plan on having the K1 ready for filing before I head to the States in June, that we gather while I'm over there of course lol, minus the extra proof and my partner's signatures.

How is your boy doing??

Thanks, kaffy. I just ran into another CR1 filer from the Gold Coast who said that NVC schedules the interview. #######. We will have to plan submitting our paperwork a bit more structured now.

Hello all,

So I sent Packet 3 in 10 days ago (express post) and have not heard a whisper since, finally e-mailed today and got not one but two automated "Don't call us we'll call you" responses.

From looking at others timelines it seems most hear back very quickly.

Anyone else been in the same boat and had it take a while? It's driving me crazy !!

Cheers.

How is your boy doing??

Sorry for the late reply Jamie -- He is doing ok. He had another round of surgery today WHILE I was moving house. I had been telling the doctors all week that today was the one day I could not be there as I had removalists books..so they did his surgery...far from impressed!! They put in a perma cath (catheter into his chest just above his heart) for his Dialysis treatment...they also put a gastrostomy in so he can have tube feeds to gain some weight....he has lost 6 kilos in the last 2 weeks and is literally a skeleton wrapped in skin. This afternoon he was in a great deal of agony but when I left him 90 minutes ago he was resting happily about to log into livewire (a website for kids with ongoing illnesses)

I am about to go curl up & chat with Eric before I crash out from total exhaustion!
