Hi guys

Just a quick question for those who have had their interviews already, should I bring more photos with me to the interview? I sent in alot of evidence with the packet but wondering if they are likely to ask for more?

The packet had about 20 photos in it, and emails, IMs, flights, receipts, wedding preparations etc

Thanks for your advice

-N

It can't hurt to be prepared, but it seems like no one going through Sydney is asked for anything more than what was already submitted (my husband brought a whole stack of stuff and it wasn't even glanced at). If it eases your mind, by all means do it. But don't be surprised when it's not asked for

Ditto... my husband brought heaps of stuff, but I didn't care as long as he had everything they might ask for. It was worth it to us to be over prepared.

I had the interview today - APPROVED!

It was fairly painless and straightforward. It felt like I was there for ages but it was maybe an hour and a half (and that's because I got there 45 minutes early and waited)

They asked questions that were answered in the packet 4, so whether they were reiterating things or didn't look that closely at the evidence I don't know. And yes, I did take extra photos with me but they never asked for them  still they made me feel more confident to have them just in case.

Thanks for all the advice guys! And goodluck!

Welcome to Tezzaa VJ :D you will find all the information you will ever need here and lets hope you both have a fast and smooth visa journey :)

First bit of advise, don't let the entire process over whelm you, do it in stages, do one step and then start the next one.

There is plenty advice here on each stage and people that have been through it and that are just ahead of you in the process.

One person I found the most helpful on my Journey has been Vannessa's journey, shes is a bit ahead of cindy and I in the process and was also from Melbourne, her posts have been very detailed in writing about her journey, once the process leaves the US and is in Sydney, so look at her threads, even more so if you are in Melbourne, they will help you alot. link: Vannessa & Tony

good luck!!

I've applied for the K-1 visa and am still in the beginning stages. I'm trying to get everything ready for the packet three now so that it will be quicker when it gets to my boyfriend. (He's a bit of a procrastinator so the more I get done now the better :P)

I was filling out his DS-230 and it asks that he provide his spouse's information. Well, we're not married and we won't be when he submits the packet. So should I still put my information in there or do I put it as N/A since it doesn't apply yet? I mean, is the form for both fiance and spouse or will he get something different than what is showing on the embassy website?

Hi Bacon

Have a look at the example forms on VJ.. You need to enter NA or none as you will not be married at that stage so it doesnt apply to you...

It can get a little confusing..
