Actually he spent a significant time on the Muslims and some on the Mormon's too.

I liked most of it but cringed at his obvious pro-Israel stance when he talked to a Rabbi who was not for Israel.

Yeh, that part of it I am not sure what to make of.....

No not at all. I just wanted to make sure you understood where I was coming from.

O/T---Your siggy pic makes me chuckle.

Take a large, almost round, rotating sphere about 8000 miles in diameter, surround it with a murky, viscous atmosphere of gases mixed with water vapor, tilt its axis so it wobbles back and forth with respect to a source of heat and light, freeze it at both ends and roast it in the middle, cover most of its surface with liquid that constantly feeds vapor into the atmosphere as the sphere tosses billions of gallons up and down to the rhythmic pulling of a captive satellite and the sun. Then try to predict the conditions of that atmosphere over a small area within a 5 mile radius for a period of one to five days in advance!

I did see it a few weeks ago. At first it started out how its going to explore all religion but it ended up focusing just on Catholism and only a bit of Jewism.

Now, I am an athiest, so I should have enjoyed seeing some religion getting torned up, but I wasn't impressed because it just focused on only one religion. Every religion has silly meaningless rules, regulations, values and stories. I wish the host of that movie would have explored other religions too and not just focus on Bible.

He's no dummy. He knows Christians aren't going to RAGE and demand he be beheaded, and possibly do it.

"The fact that we are here today to debate raising America’s debt limit is a sign of leadership failure. It is a sign that the U.S. Government can’t pay its own bills. It is a sign that we now depend on ongoing financial assistance from foreign countries to finance our Government’s reckless fiscal policies."

Have you seen it?

What did you think?

I thought it was interesting in the way that normally 'taboo' type questions concerning religion were asked of 'religious people' and 'religious leaders' of all different faiths....And it was very interesting to hear their reactions and responses.

It was kind of like Maher was openly asking questions of people that I wouldn't dare to ask ( especially here in the South where we live).

The movie makes ya wonder :D

Ok I finally got to see this film. I'm not a big fan of Bill Maher but I think he did a good job in this film. He addressed a lot of different religions and asked some hard questions. I didn't like how he talked down to people though, that would be my only complaint.

Thanks for remembering to post your thoughts on it. :)
