what exactly is a bar coded cover sheet? thanks for all the help

interview date- 11/06/2009

visa approved! 11/17/2009.. pheww!!

received passport-11/20/2009

entered in US- 12/14/2009

POE- New york

welcome received- 02/01/2010

green card received- 02/08/2010

removal of condition-12/15/2011

A barcode is a block of vertical bars with a series of numbers/letters at the bottom corresponding to it.

If you want to snail mail your DS-3032, you can use the barcode generator in the LingChe NVC Guide. If you e-mail the DS-3032, no need.

For the AOS and IV packets, you don't make them yourself. You pay online and for each payment that's processed, you get a barcode cover sheet that you MUST include in your AOS and IV packages when you ship them to NVC.

If have received AOS/ IV package then will able to pay bills ($70 + $400) online on NVC secure site. This packet has IIN, which allow you to pay bills online. After it showed PAID (after 2-3 days) then print the coversheets, which has bar codes containing your NVC case number. It is important to send these coversheets along with AOS and DS-230 (IV) forms

I-129F (K-3):

<not pursuing I-129F petition further but NVC forwarded case to Consulate on 02/24/2009>

NVC Journey:

02/19/2009: NVC Received/Case number assigned for I-130

02/20/2009: DS-3032 sent by e-mail and 03/04/2009: DS-3032 sent by regular mail

02/26/2009: NVC received DS-3032 Choice of Agent selection

02/26/2009: DS-3032 accepted and AOS Bill Generated but not IV Bill

02/28/2009: AOS Bill Package received in mail

02/28/2009: Paid AOS Bill and IV Bill (as it was available) online

03/03/2009: Both AOS and IV Bill Show as Paid and Coversheet Printed

03/04/2009: Mailed I-864 and IV (DS-230) Packages

03/06/2009: I-864 and IV Packages Received by NVC and Scanned on 03/10/2009

03/13/2009: Case completed at NVC (in 17 working days from date NVC Received)

03/25/2009: Interview date assigned by NVC

so it's completely legal to make your own barcode and stick it on the form?

So far, none of previous user received any rejection.
