Thank you all for the reply.

As I have posted before, family aren't really that closeby and friend-network is also a problem. I would entrust them to teachers or daycare if they were already going to school, which is unfortunately not yet as of the moment. And another thing is that, we have left our oldest son before with a family-friend while I gave birth to our second child and it has seemed to have left him traumatized being left with them and we wouldn't want that to happen again.

Hopefully things will go well. I was looking forward to replies of those who have been to their scheduled appointments and who have brought kids with them, but I also greatly appreciate all the replies and suggestion from all of you. I shall try to see and do some of your valued suggestions.

Goodluck on everybody's journey.

Chris

When i went for the fingerprints at the OKC location, they didn't even let spouses in the building. They had to wait outside.

Apparently, no consistency from one field office to the next, and definitely not from one IO to the next, that must be where the good luck factor comes in. Sure glad they let me go in with my wife. As a foreigner in a new culture with all those armed guards, she goes brain dead. Had to fill out that hand written form and couldn't recall basic data for herself. I was there to comfort her and give her assurance plus to help her fill out that form. She is bit embarrassed about the way I love to tease the guards when walking in, like promising not to steal that portrait of GWB or a folding chair. Or other questions like why does our appointment say if you are one minute late, we will be rejected, but still have to sit in the waiting room for three hours before we are called in?

Gee, either one way or the other, not even one person that can ride with you to watch your kids? Have the opposite problem with my granddaughter with countless in-laws and family members, have to wait in line just to hold her, and told my 30 seconds is up.

On my invitation for fingerprinting it stated that only the applicant will be allowed in the building because of limited seating capability. But I could see other families coming in together, of course I don't know if all the family members had filed an application. My husband was allowed to come in, too. But he was wearing his Army uniform, maybe that was a help. I didn't see any armed guards though. Over all it was a really friendly experience and there was practically no wait. But I think that also depends on the time of the day, around lunch time it's more busy and the wait is longer.

On my interview letter it doesn't state anything about only the applicant being allowed into the building. I plan on bringing my husband along for moral support and in case the officer has any questions for him. But my interview takes place at a different office than the fingerprinting did.
