From NVC to US embassy in Manila

Addendum:

I just checked St. Lukes information and it was stated that the medical fee is 213.35 payable only in Pesos. Is this still accurate?

It also mentioned an interview fee of $131 US, payabe to Citi Bank or BPI. I assume this can only be payed after the interview date has been scheduled ?

Finally, I recall reading somewhere about a "Document Processing Fee" which must be paid before the interview. What are the details/procedures on this ?

Thanks, this is very overwhelming.

The 131.00 is the K-1 visa fee I am pretty sure and it needs to be paid before the interview, and as far as the document fee that is no longer required as of Oct. 2008

Our case was approved on the 4th of March and we got an interview letter or appointment letter through email on the 10th. I really don't have any idea why they haven't sent you yet your appointment letter on email. But definitely you will get the hard copy. I talked to the NVC before I got the email and they said if I didn't get it on email, I would definitely get the hard copy coz they will always send that to us.

I have some questions though about the appointment letter and I'd really be very thankful if it's answered.

1) Is the appointment letter what they call the packet 4? If not, what is with packet 4? a

2) For medical, can we just go to St. Luke's whenever we like with the appointment letter?

3) Where do we pay the interview fee (if there such a thing)?

I'm so ignorant about this whole thing and I've been reading the forum for some information but so far I haven't found answers to my questions. Please forgive me if somewhere in the forum this was already discussed and I just didn't find it.

Thank you a whole bunch.

Yes the appointment letter is the CR-1 equivalent to package 4. when they talk about the package 3&4 it is normally reffering to the K visa process since theirs is handled by the Embassy instead of NVC.

SLEC is a walk in basis and goes on first come first served

.

Again the interview fee is the K visa application fee far as i know. the only expenses once a CR visa reaches the Embassy stage is the medical (213.00) and the AIR21 fee (varies depending on location delivered) for shipping of the visa.

Feel free to correct me if I got this got something wrong here.

Yes, you will need to pay the AIR21 delivery fee. Some report paying at the Embassy and others have paid when the visa is delivered (COD).
