My uncle loves this place, he would take me there often when I was a teenager and eat those huge corned beef sandwiches. Even back then I thought it was just wrong and would leave the meat on the plate and only eat the bread.

Yes, alot of my co-workers will go their on payday. I do appriciate what the poster before you said re; heart attack too. Maybe I will have 1 of these sandwhiches once a year. I remember when my wife first got here, after she got the K-!, when she found out we had to wait in line 30 -45 mins. just to get INSIDE to order she was angry. She said to me," F**K, even under the Communists we never had to wait in lines this long". then she made me promise never to do that again. LOL!

Getting hungry already.

Was raised in a Jewish neighborhood and developed quite a taste for Kosher foods, especially Kosher corned beef. Ain't any around here, time for a trip back to Chicago.

Here is an easier link:

There is also a dark side to this story, a friend was raising beef and the Rabi's came up from Chicago to approve his installation. He had to pour a graded foundation for excrement and urine removal to a holding tank, with a steel grated floor for easy hosing down. Rabi's wanted the stock to be well cleaned.

If you want to be reincarnated, do not choose to be a male calf, of no value to a diary farmer and cheap to buy and the market was good for my friend. From barely out of birth, were locked into a stanchion and not permitted to roam the field. Spent a life from 3-6 months, locked up just eating, corn, you guessed it, and making deposits, where they were trucked away for making, corned beef. Friend only did that for about 3-4 years, and couldn't take it anymore.

Just lost my appetite for a corned beef sandwich after those memories came back.

My first idea was that the cucumber pickle is only there to be used to help shove the part of the sandwich you can't eat alone down the throat.

"The fact that we are here today to debate raising America’s debt limit is a sign of leadership failure. It is a sign that the U.S. Government can’t pay its own bills. It is a sign that we now depend on ongoing financial assistance from foreign countries to finance our Government’s reckless fiscal policies."

Lucky Strike, I like the way you think. The Burger is to die for, and so are those ladies. LOL. Seriously, about these cornedbeef sandwhiches, like I said, maybe once a year. Last one I had was last summer when my brother was home from Ft. Lauderdale visiting. He said, "Brad, where can we get a deli style sandwhich?" So we drove downtown to Slymans Deli. The rest of the day, we drank water like no tomorrow.:lol:
