Hi all, i'm new here. I am getting ready to start the immigration process for my Lebanese husband. It looks excrutiating. My question is about I-130.

Question 14 is asking if I am a permanent resident alien. I am not, I am USC. However this is the story. I was born and raised in Europe. I got married to an USC, and I became USC through naturalization in 1997. My marriage to the USC lasted 17 years and died of natural causes ( the marriage not the husband :))).

Questin 14b " Did you gain permanent resident status through marriage to a U.S. citizen or lawful permanent resident ?" So should my answer be yes or no ? I'm confused.

On any immigration documents/forms you should always put N/A or NONE as apposed to leaving them blank to avoid any RFE's. Sometimes they can be picky about this stuff!!
