Some good news in this thread. I Hope there is some good news for chris and mara too, there is just way too much BS going on there, when the government screws up that bad there should be some kind of free pass. I wouldn't be surprised if when things finally do happen, they'll state that they have the original petition and that the second one is denied because the first is still active or something.

I been sick the last few days, no swine flu though, but still pretty sick.

I forgot about that one, I never took it seriously, just a load of media fear mongering... swine flu... well, this one is a bit scarier and I am paying a bit of attention to it, no doubt some fear mongering going on here too but there's numbers backing up the potential for trouble this time.

I know, no one can put him/herself in your shoes and understand what you're going thru, but i know when we really want something it will happen sooner or later, we all have been thru bad waitings and the people here can confirm my words i believe and if this time doesnt happen i believe you can applyfor the k3, right? hugs to you, dani

I've reacted this way and that but it is true, everyone handles stress differently. I'm sitting here 8 1/2 months with NOA2; who knows,you may pass me! I'm seeing December filers on US soil already.

I wish there were more accountability. I had a photo company lose some pics and I called them every day and said people don't "lose" stuff, find it! Where is it? You know it's inside your company, go get it...it's a matter how motivated you are to find it but nothing gets lost. Anyway, it was fun calling them like some psycho (those pics were irreplaceable for a friend's wedding)...but bottom line....I think they got lost! LOL! For my packages USPS "loses" I tell them someone stole them...there are bar codes and tracking on all my "lost" packages and I'd appreciate it if they could research who's stealing the mail (I lost about $1000 this year but better than UPS).

...just rambling here...lost my #######! Someone threw it away...they have tracking on their packets (or an employee is using the file to roll his weed and smoke). I hope you both get your visa asap! Congratulations for the wedding, visas everyone! It IS nice to see this thread picking up again (seems the longest in VJ).

Thanks for the kind words Dani and HYENA. And I appreciate you all sticking around and i am truly happy you are all moving forward with your visas, at the same time seeing so much happy news that I can't be a part of makes it really hard. Every day I literally run to the mail when it is shoved through the door, and feel crushed to once again find nothing and then frustrated that after 9 months we know absolutely nothing. 9 Months! I honestly thought I would be married by now, and looking into how I can get my SSN, Teaching License and more! Argh!

The other bit is that in 7 weeks I go back to Aus, and that is crushing in itself, if I go back with out a NOA2 I have nothing, no job, no car, and no idea when I will get to see Chris again.

I'm honestly at the point that I wish I had a time machine so that Chris and I could have married when he asked me and simply adjusted status from that....

There are some good deals online right now.

Does a travel agent save you any money versus going directly with the airlines or comparing all those travel sites? I tried a couple agencies twice but they typically couldn't beat what I found. Lat time it was $1300 to Bangkok. I jsut found tickets for $1100...still looking though
