Awww.... the weather has gone rotten, the trip to st louis is going to be about 55 degrees and a 50/50 chance of rain... we'll still see the arch but we don't really want to spend 5 or so hours hanging out outside if the weather is going to suck. It could still turn out decent, but I have a feeling we'll be hunting for some kind of mall or flea market or something to kill some time checking out.

Union Station is kinda fun...with cool architecture. (sp?)...I found the whispering walls in the Grand Hall pretty neat.

Here is a comment I found on it online:

While wedding planning, we made a stop inside to check out the whispering walls in the Grand Hall - something that I suggest everyone do, at least once - where while standing in one corner of the arch, the sound of your whispering gets catapulted to the other side for another person to hear. The Grand Hall itself is gorgeous, and reminds me of New Orleans.

I was just talking to my SO about the Honey Moon, at least we want to escape somewhere around New Jersey. I suggested Atlantics City and he liked the idea. We'll see, suggestions from my fellow VJers are welcome!. :content:

This is my first email. we have been reading a lot about fiance visa so we decided to create and account here to have some words of support and receive answers to all the questions that we have. Im from Argentina and my fiance is from USA. We met in December 2006 while I was doing an internship in the USA. The relationship started to grow day by day, we moved in together and we have been dating for more than 2 years. We didnt want to do the fiance visa as was going to take very long and will make us be apart for months, but we have to cause we wanted to do things right after all this going back and forward.(when my visa expired, i came back and go back with my european passport, without a problem. I wanted to do it a 2nd time but they told me to go back and take a visa in my country.

The thing is, that we filed our cause in august 2008 and we havent heard from them. Its still received and pending since then. We have a lawyer that says that everything is fine, is the normal processig time, but we r freaking out. The USCIS website says 6 months is the normal time.. and we are entering the 8 months of waiting. We made an inquiry there also. My fiance has been coming to visit me in Argentina every 3 months since we started this process back in august and he is coming for his third time for Easter.

We dont understand why its taking so long and some cases are moving so fast is anything that can we do or contact besides sit and wait. is horrible to be apart from the person you love and that you have to prove your love.

Someone told us that the case was with an officer and we will hear shortly from vermont center. but, what is shortly for them????

Oh Fred, i dont know what to say to you, this whole waiting sucks like hell :o its unbelievable, you're a great example how strong love between 2 should be and for your case now pending....as they say in a movie...the only thing we know for sure that nothing is sure....you stay strong and positive about this we're with you!!!

HYENA I will wait and stick with you through out this wait. My SO's NBI clearance is expiring so she has to get a new one, another delay and another wait. :)

Hyena and Fred, I hope you both get your cases solve soon! I havent forget about you guys still waiting to be with their SOs. MARA I wish you the best and that this time you get approved really quick!

Cuchita, I think April 30th is a great day! I am thinking about that day too hehe we are having dinner with the family, nothing big, but ofcourse it will be special:)

I have been away for a long time, sorry for that, I am now living in a friend house and there I got no internet, I am at work right now. But I still remember all you guys, and hoping you are all OK! :)

Matheu...Sorry to hear about your situation perhaps you might consider doing the following:

1. Asking your USC SO (fiance/fiancee) to contact the Lawyer and insist on more info concering the status of your petition.

2. Contact USCIS yourselves (both of you).

3. Posting this same post in other forums like the 6 months and waiting club etc....perhaps you can get more response.

I don't know but it's worth a try...because I've read where petitions were delayed for many reasons from prolonged background checks to being lost...the sooner you can find out what's happening to your petition the better. So please post your concern in other forums as well. All the best and hopefully you hear somethin postive soon. :star:
