Thanks Mara! now I agree tel us your first night hehehehe, well let me start with my first night of passion after a year and a half! (···faints····), :wub: : We left the baby with granny and went to this motel OMG beautiful, the suite was decorated like a Mesquite with a lot of mirrors all over. They cover your car with curtains so nobody knows who is in there or comes in-out, everything is top secret!. We were greeted with two Pisco Sours mmmm (a cocktail typical of Chile) that put us in a better mood for celebrating :rolleyes:. The rest is history...

Let me tell you that they allowed you to stay for 12 hours!!!! so we went at night and stayed till midday, they even served breakfast. As you can imagine we had a lot of time to get updated, took a bath in the jacuzzi and everything, was the best love date ever!! ah and I know you are wondering how much??? for all that luxury? take a guess?

12/18/08 - Touched again exactly 4 mos. after 1st touch!

12/18/08 - Noa2 @ 3PM-Gracias Dios Mio!

12/24/08 - NVC sent pckg. 3 to Embassy

01/02/09 - Pckg 3 rcvd. by Embassy

01/09/09 - Pckg 3 from Embassy received by beneficiary

02/09/09 - Medical exam

02/16/09 - Sent back checklist and docs required by embassy.

03/13/09 - We will fly to see Daddy Gary

03/16/09 - 1 PM Interview (Pray God he gets visa)

03/16/09 - 5PM INTERVIEW PASSED WOOHOO. Thank God.

03/25/09 - Visa on hand! he went to DHL office after phone call received.

04/18/09 - My Cuchi came, (NYC)a wonderful unbelievable moment!:)

04/20/09 - We applied for marriage licence. (Township Municipal Bldg Health Dept.)

04/23/09 - Licence on hand

04/29/09 - Applied for Social Security (He was in system!)

04/30/09 - Wedding day!!! Yeeebaa

05/07/09 - SS card in mail. "valid for work only with DHS authorization"

05/13/09 - Sent AOS paperwork.

06/16/09 - Biometrics Apptmt.

06/25/09 - EAD Card in mail!

06/26/09 - Letter saying case transfered to Cali.

08/08/09 - Residence Card in Mail! Yuuupiiiiiii.

THE END FOR 2 MORE YEARS.

Just got off the phone with the Embassy in Manila. They received everything they need from the NBI and case has resumed processing. DANG it really does take forever just to get one letter, wooooooooooh!

Fred, it can take just few days now, since the consul signed it, should have no delay from now on!

Thanks Maliciant, Cuchita and everyone for your help, support and good wishes re: the unemployment. I am determined having come this far we will stay here where we belong forever. I have passed through the panic and am now back to fighting again :thumbs:

Congratulations to Mara on getting to see your SO. You deserve a great break away and some time together.

Freddy:- Your time must be coming very soon, you need to focus on getting well so you are on top form when they arrive. Speedy recovery!

Its so fantastic to hear that so many people's cases are moving along. Interviews scheduled, plane tickets booked and even those who are married/about to marry are proceeding with paperwork. We have all come a long way guys and its great to do the journey with so many caring and helpful people..Thanks.

April 25th - Married

April 27th - Changed name on SSN

May 12th - AOS paperwork sent

Aug 20th - Interview in Philly

Aug 21st - GC production ordered

Aug 24th - Welcome to the USA letter received

Aug 31st - Rec'd son's GC

Sept 2nd - Rec'd my GC ....all set for 2 years now

LIFTING CONDITIONS

June 20th sent I-751 to Vermont

June 25th received at Vermont.

June 27th NOA date

July 2nd Packet returned as section not filled in correctly---how stupid am I?!?!?

July 5th Packet sent back (overnight delivery) to USCIS with form filled in correctly

July 6th Packet received and signed for at Vermont

August 18th Biometrics Appointment in Philly........JULY 27TH EARLY BIOMETRICS DONE

Nearly 1 year later!!!
....received notification for my son to get biometrics done!(May 15th 2012)

May 11th 2012 Son's biometrics done early

June 2012 - Notice of lifting of conditions received

June 12th - texts- GC in production

June 13th - text- GC in post

June 15th - Received GC's!!!!!!

The embassy in manila doesn't schedule your interview usually, you call them up and schedule it yourself, or at least that's how most of us did it. Once they have your petition entered into their system (about a week after it leaves NVC normally) they can setup an interview date, all you have to do is call up the embassy, buy a PIN for $18 and then schedule it.

Ok when I call I call the non-immigrant visa or the immigrant ?

Our Timeline K1 My Version!!!!

11-22-06 She winks at me!!!!!

2-13-07 Fly to MNL

2-14-07 I get there for Valentines Day cause I am sweet like that!

2-20-07 I fly home....

7-10-07 I fly to Manila again before I go to Iraq

7-11-07 Engaged

7-12-07 We go to Tarlac to meet the family and stay there

7-17-07 I go home....

7-24-07 Go to Iraq

2-24-08 I come back from Iraq safe and sound cause I promised I would!

3-25-08 Fly to Manila AGAIN 3rd time on that flight (But it was a little better on Continetal Airlines to Japan cause there coach class has power ports for laptops.

4-22-08 End of the best month ever....even though I had to shower from a bucket like Iraq and buy her an AC cause I was dying at her house....Had to do the visa extension thing which was easy, I had a very good time for the month I was there and felt so much more comfortable about the future!

k-1's are non-immigrant... so go with that when you call.

Finally some good news fred, I'm hoping she has the visa by tuesday (philippines time of course) but I have no idea if that's likely or not.

Friday the 10th I'll be hanging out in st louis with my woman... from about 11am to 7pm (it'll be a long day, only about 30 minutes of that will likely be for the AOS/EAD biometrics appointment... the rest of that will be wandering around down town st louis and hopefully not getting mugged by meth addicts, at least not too often). We'll go visit the archway, snag some lunch and likely a dinner from some place in the area... it should be a lot of fun... not jaccuzi fun, or mirrored room fun, but about as much fun as a person can have when you have to travel 4 hours to do a short 15 minute appointment.

Any august filers call st louis home?

3.21.2014: Received email notification with case # for both petitions; case forwarded to NBC for processing

3.21.2014: Check cashed

3.22.2014: Hard copy NOA1 received

4.08.2014: Both I-130 approved (notification received via email) - It only took three weeks!!!

4.11.2014: Received NOA2 approval notice in the mail.

5.01.2014: Called NVC to ask for status of paperwork. Advised they received both application on 4.28. Advised to call in 30 business days for an update.

6.02.2014: Email notification received from NVC that shows parents' NVC case number and instructions to pay AOS Fee and fill out DS 261.

6.03.2014: Paid AOS fee ($88 for both petitions)
