First, the interview (it's getting closer!), but even before that, I still need to fill in the damn forms. And they're still looking all scary.

Have been quite busy with work and preparing for my fiance's interview...and some family weddings coming up, so busy all around

But...wow HD! Almost there!

Badgerella: What forms? The DS ones? You need to take them to the interview? For us with SOs in the UK, we fill them in and send them prior to them even assigning the interview date. Don't worry though, the forms just look scary but really are not. And most of the information is very very very repetitive . It took my fiance and me 5 hours exactly to prepare all the forms and send them in (we did it "virtually" together, thanks to technology!)

Yes, all the DS forms, and the like. Here, we take them with us to the interview. They only want two passport pictures sent to them in advance, right after assigning an interview date.

There are way too many questions on those forms that are unclear or make no sense (a bunch of those on the DS-156, for instance), etc. But we'll figure them out somehow.

Lol im not ready, im excited but as soon as i pack those (2 lol) suitcases I will be terrified, I always wonder if everything is going to be just the same as it was the last time we were together (and then it is everytime lol) but this time im honestly more worried about immagration and what I will say.....

6 days.....

Tomorrow im going to start packing and sorting.....

Yeah ill be honest im nervous as all hell lol

AOS won't really liven up this thread a whole lot... it's, not all that exciting... at least so far. Many of us are sticking around, but I think many of us will dissappear or at least become relatively scarce, I only get on VJ at work now for example. Still waiting on the NOA1 for that AOS stuff here, and the SS card hasn't shown up yet either, I meant to check the date we applied for SSN to see if it was officially late yet. I did get a package in the mail I wasn't expecting last friday and the first thing I thought was oh #######, that HAS to be a returned AOS package... what mistake could I have made... maybe the wrong address, sent to the PO box using a private courier (which would get returned) was my first thought... turns out my sister sent a towel set. BTW, I threw away my tracking number for my AOS package... without thinking about it... oops, so I'm kind of stuck waiting on the NOA1 to find out if they got it or not (I don't have access to check imaging on my bank account).

Anyway, don't get to panicked about the immigration stuff, instead, worry about the number of deadly airplane crashes that have made the news so much recently... mwuahahaha...

I'll answer any questions I can on AOS, but really there ain't much to it, the hard part is that check for $1010 (or more if there are kids). I covered the small hang ups we had in filing, the butterfly form where one of the questions starts on the left bottom of the page and finishes on the top right, but the right side starts on it's own (partial) question so it's confusing, only the fact there is no number there gives it away (plus the question seemed strange anyway). Also make sure that you have tax return transcripts, as the one I had for 2007 (the one that was required to file AOS at the time) was kept by the embassy, I had to get another, I'm pretty sure that pretty soon 2008 will be required, since everyone should have filed them by the deadline.
