guys i have a question.

i have two traffic tickets.

a speeding ticket ($50) a couple of weeks before i filed my n-400

a parking ticket ($100) in 2004.

i did not mention any of these tickets in my application because:

1) i was under the impression that only tickets with fines over $500 needed to be mentioned (honest mistake).

2) i had simply forgotten the 2004 ticket and only recently remembered it.

now the question. what should i do when i go for the interview. i obviously should tell them. i have the proof of payment for my recent ticket. for 2004 parking ticket i only have a carbon copy of the check that i had written. would that be enough?

thanks for you help

Even if you have committed a minor crime, USCIS may deny your application if you do not tell the USCIS officer about the incident. Note that unless a traffic incident was alcohol or drug related, you do not need to submit documentation for traffic fines and incidents that did not involve an actual arrest if the only penalty was a fine less than $500 and/or points on your driver’s license.
