Peace to All creatures great and small............................................

But when we turn to the Hebrew literature, we do not find such jokes about the donkey. Rather the animal is known for its strength and its loyalty to its master (Genesis 49:14; Numbers 22:30).

Hey to all of you that are offended from what I said I am very sorry!!!!!!!!

But I am very offended from anyone that supports me from keeping my consitutional rights the second ammendent is

a right the American people has had for 300 years and I do not want to see it taken away from me or us.

so would you please educate yourselfs from real facts not from tv reports they are all lies of the truth.

now please read this it was copied from FBI files.

Australia banned private ownership of most guns in 1996, crime has risen dramatically on that continent, Though lawmakers responsible for passing the ban promised a safer country, the nation's crime statistics tell a different story:

Countrywide, homicides are up 3.2 percent; Assaults are up 8.6 percent; Amazingly, armed robberies have climbed nearly 45 percent

In the Australian state of Victoria, gun homicides have climbed 300 percent; In the 25 years before the gun bans, crime in Australia had been dropping steadily, now there has been a reported "dramatic increase" in home burglaries and assaults on the elderly.

In the USA alone the States which passed concealed carry laws reduced their murder rates by 8.5%, rapes by 5%, aggravated assaults by 7% and robbery by 3%; and, If those states not having concealed carry laws had adopted such laws in 1992, then approximately 1,570 murders, 4,177 rapes, 60,000 aggravated assaults and 12,000 robberies would have been avoided yearly

now to reply that most gun injuries are by family members is not true thats just what tv told you to help take my guns

just like second hamd smoke is more dangerous than smoking your self just lies for changing public opinon

Right...your ejaculation of unsubstantiated statistics about Australia must be believed, but p's statement that gun related injuries are caused by family members is just 'media propaganda'.:wacko:

google, it, friend. FBI uniform crime statistics includes a report of accidental homicides, with age/gender/ethnicity demographics. getting info on use of firearms in self defense is more difficult, but it's out there. John Lott wrote a few good books on it that include credible statistics.

In my humble firearm-newbie-Gun-Control opinion;

It's NOT the actual firearm hurting people,

it's the person pulling the trigger!

FORGET GOLD/STOCKS/ OR WHATEVER BUY FIREARMS,....TONS OF THEM! :P:D:thumbs:

Keep posting guy's/girls,....love all the Fire-arm INFO! :P

We can argue back and forth on the meaning of the 2nd Amendment (you might also argue whether a persons right to life outweighs your right to own XYZ type of firearms...or certain types of ammunition...)

There are a number of cops in my family, and if there is one thing that worries them it's loads of untrained trigger happy people wandering around carrying firearms.

And the stats on gun related use and injury in private residences typically show that they are hardly ever used to defend against intruders, and are far more likely to be used for 1) Suicide 2) Domestic violence and 3) Accidental discharge and injury.

So. I would be all in favor of legislation that requires

1) Vigorous mental health and background checks for gun purchase (including from gun shows)

2) Limitations on the number and type of weaponry (particularly automatic and massive destruction ammunition)

3) Required gun safety training for all gun owners as a requirement of having a permit/license

4) Required police check of the safety provisions made for gun storage in residences with children.

People will go on about 'well I have a fundamental right!!'. Well, if you read Supreme Court opinions on Fundamental rights you will find that there is no right that is absolute. The government can interfere with fundamental rights as long as it passes strict scrutiny and compelling governmental interest tests.

LOL, yeah, Constitutional Law is a minefield...(you'll also note that the Constitution says 'Congress shall make NO law' concerning, say, freedom of speech...but it makes them all the time. Fun fun fun.)

So because it is in the Govt's best interest they can do what they want regardless of what the people say and we supposed to go along with it even if it is Un-Constitutional?
