I have always wanted to do three-gun competition so I have my AR15, my Remington 870 Shotgun, and my Springfield XD40 pistol.

If you have not done it, you should consider taking a hunter safety course, NRA Rifle, or NRA Basic Pistol course. I know we already know how to use guns, but it NEVER hurts to have a refresher.

Be safe and have fun!

I'm not gun expert nor serious collector but I do have a number.

My favorite is this little old pump 22 I bought at a gunshow to hunt rabbits.

I had been using a Shotgun, Browning sweet 16 (Belgium) but the stock was taking wear from wadding through briers so much.

The 22 is cheap to shoot and very light to carry. You can run even the cheapest grade ammo without a problem.

I have a model 62 winchester .22 looks just like it. How much did you have to give for the pump?

MIne is stamped Model 06, I like these older ones because the new versions all seem to have a larger front stock, at least the ones I have seen in stores, some of the older ones came with octagon barrel but mine is round.

I forget exactly what I paid but I think it was about 350. Most of the ones I had seen in pawn shops were about 400.

I have an old winchester 1890 gallery gun . That gun did work in a gallery so it is a bit worse for wear. .22 shorts it takes.

Some of those 1890's are really sweet such as this rare example.

When one considers the ease of rapid fire and dependability with these models (and others), I am baffled how bolt actions were used in the military for so long.

No offense but it is very doubtful that those (pictured) shots are the results of a new shooter at 50 yards - even scoped...

i dunno, i shot a .22 unscoped at 14 and was probably able to hit coins too at that range, although i didn't try it. the grouping on the target was pretty darn good though.
