Timeline: 13 month long journey from filing to visa in hand

If you were lucky and got an approval and reunion with your loved one rather quickly; Please refrain from telling people who waited 6+ months just to get out of a service center to "chill out" or to "stop whining" It's insensitive,and unecessary. Once you walk a mile in their shoes you will understand and be heard.

That's correct, that's all you will see from the consulate if you are lucky. The Mumbai Consulate, never sent my wife the packet3, not that I need to deal with it, since I abandoned the K-3 process.

Its a good think that your husband will go pick up the packet 3 from the consulate.

The only way to get the packet 3 is to pick it up. Costa Rica does not have a mail system.

They will call him when the papers are ready. He just has to make an informal appt to go pick them up and then when he is there he can make the interview appt. He will have to haul A$$ to get his exam and police report. We'll see how fast he moves. If he has a set date for the interview, that may motivate him. Costa Ricans are very laid back people... I will not nag him because he will tell me I sound like his grandmother..... LOL I told him to get his vaccination records from his mother.... I can't bet you he forgot to ask her.

LOL!!! My wife doesn't have any records of her immunizations since she has moved around, and my in-laws don't know where those records are. I told her she is going to be forced to get all of them all over again...unless she finds the records. :whistle:

I'm not sure how the records are kept in Costa Rica. For me, I just go to my doctor and ask for my history... For them.... WHO KNOWS ????

I agree, no idea with my wife's either. All I know is that she has had different doctors along the way as well, so I'm sure she will just have to take the vaccines again.

I actually met the doctor that took care of my husband when he was a baby. He makes house calls because it is really hard for every one to get down the mountain for regular visits. It was actually pretty cool. Everything is so different there.

The samething with India, it is just very different, don't think I could ever live there permanently.

I actually went to Costa Rica last year, it was definitely a lot of fun!!! I plan on visiting again, once the wife gets here.

Question about I-130 Form

On question number 15: 'Name and address of current employer' is that question for me or my wife?

Question 15 on the I-130 is under the information about your relative section, so if your wife is the relative that you are applying for then it is her employer's name and address. If your wife is applying for you, then it is your employer's name and address.

When I told him, he said what's that and where would I get such a thing :rofl: I told him to get ready to get a bunch of needles stuck in his arms within a month period He he :hehe:
