"you fondle my trigger then you blame my gun"

Timeline: 13 month long journey from filing to visa in hand

If you were lucky and got an approval and reunion with your loved one rather quickly; Please refrain from telling people who waited 6+ months just to get out of a service center to "chill out" or to "stop whining" It's insensitive, and unecessary. Once you walk a mile in their shoes you will understand and be heard.

Thanks!

What do I eat....

My husband eats so much bread I bought a bread maker. I haven't used it much to make bread but I use it a lot to make dough for PIZZA.

Toli and I both enjoy Italian food (we did meet it Italy). I've invented a lasagna with pesto, cream, and ground turkey. I can (and do) eat a full pan of it. I like to cook traditional southern food too....collard greens, cornbread, ribs, fried chicken, fried green tomatos, and sweet sweet tea.

I'm working on Albanian foods. I can make quofta (meatballs), kos (yogurt sauce) and burek (meat pie). The roasting of a whole goat just escapes me and I don't have the oven space. I'm working on baklava but it takes so much time!! It takes less time for me to go to the Bronx and buy it from an Albanian bakery.

I make Chinese food sometimes but I'd rather buy it. General Tso...... :content:

And I missed it. It figures... Can't complain too much though b/c I saw him live in small venue in NC in '04.

I like to cook, but the NY to ME and Puerto Rico territory does not allow me much kitchen time. I usually grab something at Panera or Whole Foods. Once Diego's here, I know we will eat in a lot and I can't wait for that. He owns a cafe, so he is a fabulous cook and expert smoothie-maker. He puts ginger in a lot of smoothies. Yummy. My favorite is a bit simpler- soy milk, banana and cinnamon. I could live on those.

Good morning everyone :D

How are you this lazy Sunday? Still sleeping I hope! I haven't been this tired since I was in university, coming into work at the hospital without ever even getting to sleep :dead: Had a hard time sleeping last night and we lost an hour...and to add insult to injury, I forgot to disable my 5:45am alarm and so I woke up at 5:45am instead of 6:30am. :(

Well I'm told that the census is really low. I hope it's dead today like it was last Sunday.

Jenn, have you resolved the situation? PM me if you want (can't get FB at work).

Lisa, did you see the Burn Notice season finale? What the hell happened? I was watching last night and then got online during the commercial break and ended up chatting and missed the ending! Oh and PS- I'm already irritated with dumb nurses for the day...I feel your pain from the other day  (No offence to anyone that might be a nurse).

Steve, GS4EVER, Aruba, Mayra, Mary, Caroline, et al - How are you? Hope everything is good and you've had a great weekend :D

Good morning my ladies! (F)

Haven't figured out what I am going to do with myself today. Usually, up until around 1:00 p.m. my time I am Skyping with Ksenia. But she is still in Kiev today, so I'm kind of a little out of my routine :P

Looks like I was finally able to pick up that 2nd P/T job that I needed. Nothing glamorous, working as a security guard. But $10 per hour X 24 hours per weekend = $240 of much needed income per week to get over there for the interview and eventually get my Ukrainian ladies home

Hope everyone has a wonderful day

Congrats & Good Luck!

I got a 169 dollar speeding ticket today <_<

how was everyone elses day?

How everyone enjoying the weekend? I am still trying to adjust to the time change

I was out most of yesterday running errands and also spent time completing my NVC package. SO MUCH PAPERWORK!

I now have everything in order....just waiting for NVC to assign a case number so we can get going at NVC.

Narina you working again this weekend?

OH I totally forgot about the time change SO that means it is only 9:27 in Costa Rica.

I better get my butt in gear.... I need to clean out the basement,.... I was thinking... maybe if I let the house become a total mess then maybe Tucho will be approved. If I rearrange things and make room for him in my room then I might JINX myself.

He told me he doesn't want to get his hopes up to be shot down. So I think that is why he is acting so jerky.

Narina, considering you held a protest for our approvals, I can't really be mad at you! :)

But forgetting Queue and Me?!!! now! now! :P

I think Toucho is just nervous and excited...give him a week to get used to the idea of actually being approved and closer to the end of this long winding road

Filling out the forms and mailing them isn't fun, but I ended up doing all the paperwork for my wife.

Sarita, it's better if you do it, and know it's done correctly. Although every step of the way I've been fvcking up our stuff by forgetting this and that...it's been getting to the consulate piece meal  My husband was like, "I told you we were supposed to send..." I'm like, "Well I was sick  My brain wasn't working last week."
