For “Viet Kieu” Vietnamese Oversea, Be aware of this!

I’m not sure if others get cause on this. But it was happened to my case. My wife and I left Vietnam last year. When we checked in at VN Customs, the “CongAn/HaiQuan Tan Son Nhat” officer at Tan Son Nhat asked me a piece of paper saying that she was withdrawn from her Household. He just wanted “coffee’s money”, but I just ‘danced’ around with him and kept blame on the local police officer “Cong An khu vuc”. Five minutes later, he then let me go without “coffee’s money”. I won :star:

So, be aware of this issue and be well prepared if they ask. Also, ask your wife bring ID Card “Chung Minh Nhan Dan” with her, because they may ask.

“He looks very young, around 23. Darn, I understand him better than himself, and I did know what he wanted. Plus, he didn’t know that I was a boy selling cakes on the street in VN before he was born”.

They gave Mai a bit of a hard time on the way out, also. They intimated that her passport and visa might be counterfeit. However, they never asked for any money. It's just a good thing we had plenty of time to catch the plane.

I am so curious. Why did you wait until now to post this? Didn't these events take place in May of last year?

How are things? We never hear from you much any more.

Hehehe :innocent: , it was suddenly come up, I didn’t think of it last year, maybe, I was too happy. Anyway, we moved up to Indiana at my sister’s house, and stay there for a while. I’m now back to Kentucky. Guess what, I’ll be the father in this Sept, I’m so excited. I heard that you have a boy, well, congratz. I’m now work hard for milk and baby’s diapers.

Same thing happened to Linh. He wanted to see her VN ID card. She left it at her mom's house. He made a stink for a bit and then when it got louder he let her go.

Milk is free, my friend, unless you decide to feed that horrible chalky-tasting stuff to your little one. Diapers are not. May I suggest Costco? In the alternative, the Target brand diapers are quite nice, and cheap. The Wal-Mart brand diapers are horrible, don't bother. Then there's always cloth diapers, but even I can't go that far. Congratulations and good luck to you both!
