Hi!.. I've been reading alot of posts here in vj and most of them are VERY informative.. I just noticed that people would indicate in their timelines that the DS230 that they sent has been entered into the system... How would you know that it has been entered? where to check? do you call NVC to check it?.. Please share some info about this. My husband sent my ds230 last monday and i wanna know if they've already received it or if they've already entered it into their system.

Yes, once you call the NVC their automated system will say that they received it and they're reviewing it. Once they're done and if they have received everything else, then the message will say case completed.

Thanx to both of you for the replies... What's the AVR?.. i'm so sorry i'm so not familiar with all these abbreviations :-D..

I called the NVC and talked to an operator. She told me to call next week because they're receiving thousands of mails everyday so it'll take 2 to 3 weeks time before they enter the infos into their system.... so i guess i'll just call them again next week then!..

:-)

AVR refers to the "Automated Voice Response" system at NVC. Instead of speaking to an operator you can hear taped updates on your case. I found with our case, however, that the AVR messages were generally a day behind. :)

I have noticed something again. Almost ALL timelines that i've read, the nvc would receive and enter the info into their system 2 to 3 days after the ds230 was sent. How come the operator told me that it'll take 2 to 3 weeks for it to be entered into their system?... The latest info about ds230 that was entered into the nvc system was just last February, last week. So why do you guys think she's wanting me to wait 2 to 3 weeks while they did only 2 to 3 days to others? Is it a possible rfe? hmmm... But i've seen people with RFE, they already know that they have RFE 3 to 4 days after the DS230 and other documents were sent to NVC... *SIGH*.... If this 2 to 3 weeks waiting time is true, it really sucks.. i just dont understand why would ours be different from other applications.. **SAD**

Don't worry - there is nothing different going on with your file. That is just a standard reply they will give you. When our documents were sent in they were received on a Monday, entered on a Tuesday and the AVR said to wait 4 - 6 weeks and yet 3 DAYS later our case was completed. The best way to follow your progress is to call NVC frequently and basically ignore their time estimates. Good luck!

Thank you for your questions. I have the same problem. NVC received my wife DS3032 on 03-04. I went online paid IV Fee on 03-04, and then when I called the operator. A lady told I am not support to paying to early, since they haven't send out a mail for me to pay IV fee. I am just worry if I am paying to early or sent my DS230 to soon. Will I get RFE from NVC. I have all my DS230 ready to sent out, but listen to the operator. I am just worry.

I'm not sure why they would have told you that. If your DS-3032 has been accepted and the online payment site shows your IV fee available to be paid, you can pay it. It may take a day or so for it to register as "PAID" but once it does you can print off the barcoded cover sheet, receipt and mail your package in. We did not receive our actual hard copy of the DS-230 package until after our case had been completed at NVC! Good luck!

Good luck!

The payment already received from my bank account. I have all my I-864, and DS-230 ready to sent out this saturday. After called the operator, made me worry that I am sending out to early, and I will end up RFE. Should I send out tomorrow? Can I send out both of my package I-864, and DS-230 at the same time.

Here's what I have.

I-864, DS-230, print out both payments been received from online payment. Do you all think I am okay to go?

Thanks for your reponses. That operator lady just make me wonder, and worry.

Do not send stuff to NVC before they ask for it. It WILL cause delays. If you pay a bill before it is asked for, it will update in one system and not in another. Wait to send in the DS-230 package, until an operator can confirm that your IV bill shows as paid. If you paid your IV before NVC sent out the IV bill, you will have to call them and straighten that out before sending in the DS-230.

Good Luck!!

If the DS-3032 has been accepted and the online payment site says the IV fee is available to be paid it can be paid! Yes, you should not pay it before it has been generated but if it has not been generated it would not be available to be paid on the online site. You do not have to wait for them to send out the fee, just for it to be generated.

I called them this morning spoke to another lady. She saying my bill had been received from the system. But, she asked me to wait 2-3 weeks before they will send out the package DS-230. Do I have to wait that long.

This morning I received an email from NVC, asking me to pay bill online. I am actually already paid on Wednesday, and my bank account is confirm that NVC did received my money.

Should I send my DS-230, since will take 3 -4 business for NVC to received it.
