Salam alaikom guys

how are u all

i hope all is fine

me and my wife getting our baby in june 2009

and she wana to get the baby born in US

so i thought about applying tourist visa with tellin the embassy that am going to be there when the baby get born and

come back to continue the process

anyone have any INFO about this pls or what can i do to let be there when the baby born and come back?

My husband had no luck with a tourist visa. You normally have to show strong ties to your country and with your marriage to your wife that is an American it may not work. If you have the money to try it then do so. Most of us in your situation had the baby in the US without our husbands...this was unfortunate. I wish you all the luck and just maybe your visa will go through before the baby is due to be born!!! God bless!

While my husband never filed a tourist visa, I really must caution you about traveling while your paperwork is in process. My husband was here in the U.S. as he was on a student visa when we met. Our I-130 had been approved but was still in process when his student visa expired. During this time, he traveled home to see his mother who was very ill at the time. He ended up not being able to travel back home because his application was NOT complete and his student visa expired. We ended up having to file a waiver (I-601) on top of all everything else. My husband was stuck in Morocco for 4 years!!!!!! During that time, I had my son in the U.S. without my husband.

Please...be very careful.

I cant imagine giving birth to our baby and my husband not being there. :(

Sorry but I think most of the people who have been in similiar situations can advise you better.

I dont think you would have time to file and wait for a tourist visa at this point nor do I think they really care

about anyone's sensitive situations. Has anyone from your country even gotten a tourist visa? :unsure:
