File EAD, but if are not in hurry to work then wait till you file your AOS together with EAD and AP.

When you apply for AOS you can also submit the work permit application. That and advanced parole along with AOS are all covered under the $1010 fee. Otherwise just wait until you have your conditional green card

My Advice is usually based on "Worst Case Scenario" and what is written in the rules/laws/instructions. That is the way I roll... -Protect your Status - file before your I-94 expires.

WARNING: Phrases in this post may sound meaner than they were intended to be. Read the Adjudicator's Field Manual from USCIS

Actually, it is pointless to file for EAD prior to filing for AOS when you come on a K-1 visa. The EAD takes about 3 months to process and it is only valid for the same length of time as the I-94 in your passport. Your I-94 is valid for 90 days so you basically spend several hundred dollars for a document that is expired before you even receive it. You need to file for AOS and when you do, you also file for your EAD. They are included in the same price. The EAD will still take about 3 months to process but when you get it it will be valid for a year.
