The UK Kitchen Nightmares is so much better than the American one. He takes people really under his wing in the UK one and goes back to see how they are doing.

But didn't Ramsey just have a restuarant go under? I may remember that...

If that happened to CHEF RAMSAY, then it's just proof that no one can escape the recession :P

Yeah I knew it was one of the rest. that he was ex. chef but I can't remember if it was in UK or US.

A bunch of the restaurants on Kitchen Nightmares have gone under.

His character changes a lot depending on which of his shows you watch. He comes across ok on Kitchen Nightmares, but seems to go out of his way to be as insulting as possible on Hell's Kitchen.

Came across this the other week - Gordon Ramsay as interpreted by a dominatrix.

I love just about anything involving Gordon Ramsay!

But I do have to admit that I'm not always crazy about all the yelling and stuff in the American versions of his programs. Not to mention that a lot of things seem so set up (case in point: sumo wrestlers showing up and ordering the whole menu - oh yeah, and Ramsay had no idea they were coming, just forget the Asian-themed challenge). But still!

I don't even think they were real sumo wrestlers. It looked like at least one of them was wearing a sumo wig.

And at first, I hated Robert but I think he's starting to grow on me. I've got my eye on Giovanni though for a contender. I used to think Andrea as well but now I'm not sure.

Absolutely! That was particularly obvious - hence the setups.

I agree with you on both counts. Andrea really messed up on the meat station last time, after acting like she knew everything. Carol has been annoying as well, but now we'll see which one of those two is better.
