my fiance is citizen of Chongqing but lives in Yudu last 14 years

had to go to chongqing just to get police report (cost $300.00 ) for trip

at that time we did not know we had to have translated and notarized.

so now we have 2 police reports 1 each for Chongqing and Yudu that is worthless to us

The Notary here in yudu will not translate or notarize them. (not even the one from Yudu)

So my fiancee will have to go back to chongqing (600 miles on train)& 7 days traveling time

just to get them translated and notarized.

That makes my total cost $548.57 just to get 2 pieces of paper that the interviewer at interview may not even look at.

You may be only one person in the world,

but you may be the whole world to one person

That's a hard experience. Going forward you know should assume that everything needs to be translated and notarized. We had multiple copies made of each.

BTW: If you haven't already done so you may want to have copies of your passport (front to back) and notarized also. I had this done at the embassy in Beijing. It is proof of your trips to China.
